本日のボトボト英語： 「○○びたし」or「○○まみれ」
みなさん、元気ですか？
筆者は夕べ完テツしたけど、元気です。
ですが、多忙状態が続くと運動不足になってしまいますね。
運動不足状態が続くと、足腰が弱って、骨そそーそーで、
行き着く先は寝たきり・・・・
とか思うと恐ろしくて、
筆者はキャベツをむしったり、洗いものしたり、
果物の皮を剥くあいだ中、踊り狂うことにしています。
先日踊り狂いながら生姜をおろしていたら、
指もおろしてしまいました。
痛かったです。

さて、先日イトコがヘンな日本語を発明したので
よくお聞き。
イトコの友達のお母さんがメチャクチャ誇り高い女性だ、
という話をしていたときのこと、
イトコはそのお母さんのありえないほどの誇り高さについて
形容詞という形容詞、副詞という副詞を駆使して
筆者に伝えようとしていたのだが、伝えきれず、
ついに
「も、誇りまみれ」
と言い放ったのでした。
のみならず、「誇り」の「ほ」と「こ」、「こ」と「り」の間に
それぞれ小さい「っ」まで
入っておりましたのです。
いかがでしょうか？
筆者はとっても気に入ったので
「ここぞ」というときに使って行こうかなって思ってます。

Now, the other day my cousin invented a very strange
new Japanese expression. So listen.
She was talking about her friend's mother, who is a
woman of pride and dignity.
My cousin wanted to depict the unusual dignity the mom
holds using every possible adjectives and adverbs, but
none of these did sufficient job. and she eventurally said,
"sooo totally drenched in dignity"
She said this as if she was using all her energy and pronounced
the word "drenched"
"DRRRRENNNNNCHEDDD."
How do you like it?
I mean, I love it.

としたのですが、日本語ほどヘンではありません。
「埃まみれ」
とのシャレになっていないからです。
