この歌アメリカの男の子のプロポーズの歌だって？イギリスのシンガーソングライターのハリー・ダクレ (Harry Dacre) が1892年に作詞作曲した歌で,
二人乗り自転車の歌だった。
私が中学生のころナット・キング・コールが歌っていた。私はこの歌大好きでいつも歌っていた。
いつか王子様があらわれて私の前でこの歌歌ってくれると。信じてた、、。
