Lina gave these chocolates to her teachers as a "thank you" and goodbye gift

When I entered the kindergarten...a friend said I should give the teacher a big gift
幼稚園に入ってた頃、友達が言いました。。。先生に何かをあげた方がいい
But I don't really like that idea...
けど。。私は。。。そのアイデアは少し嫌と思って
And thought, "the school probably does not allow it"
キットいけない。。。何かルールあるじゃない？
I did not want her teachers to favor her over others
先生は皆さんを同じぐらい大好きと嬉しい （じゃないと不公平！）
Sometimes we gave her teachers some cookies or things we made at home, but nothing big
たまに先生に手作りクッキなどをあげたけど。。。そのぐらい。 余り大きい物をあげなかった
When I was a child, My mom was really big on giving teachers something
私の子供頃。。。私の母。。。いつも私の担任に何かをあげたかった
10 or 20 dollar chocolate boxes

It was soooo embarrassing
すごい、すごい恥ずかしかった！
I was the only one in the class to do it

I mean....in the States, giving something too big to a teacher.......is not really good.
アメリカでは。。。余り先生にプレゼントをあげると。。。ｍｍｍ。。。余り良くないな
Other students will look at you and call you a brown-noser or something like that

I guess when you are really young, it's fine.....but after like 3rd grade...mmmm...maybe no
子供はまだ幼稚園とか。。。まだまだ大丈夫と思うけど。。。小学生３以上。。。余り。。。。？
