(English follows)

It’s been a while, everyone!

August 14 marked one year since my surgery 😊

I had my first MRI and CT scans in a year, and I’m very happy to say that everything was clear!

It has now been a year and a half since I was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma. I’m celebrating this milestone of still being here and living my life ✨

Because we never know what tomorrow may bring, I’ve come to realize more than ever how precious each and every day is.

Whenever something feels different or unusual in my body, I get nervous. Before I was diagnosed with cancer, I would often think, “It’s probably just work-related fatigue. I’ll feel better soon,” and simply carry on without paying much attention to it.

But things are different now.

The other day, I suddenly developed a headache and chills, and two days later I started running a high fever. I had no sore throat or cough—just a fever, headache, and extreme fatigue. I went to a nearby clinic, where I was tested for influenza, but the test was negative. The doctor said it could be some kind of virus.

Even after taking medication, the fever would only come down for a few hours before rising again. This continued for five days.

If this had happened before my cancer diagnosis, I probably would have continued working without taking any time off. At most, I would have switched to working from home and carried on with work as usual.

But now, I’ve left my job and am in the process of starting my own business, so I have more flexibility with my schedule. More importantly, I’ve changed my mindset. I now try to work in a way that doesn’t push my body beyond its limits.

So, I gathered the courage to reschedule some of my appointments.

Everyone was incredibly understanding and willing to accommodate the changes, and I’m truly grateful.

My schedule may get pushed back, but I’ve learned that it’s okay. I’ve come to accept that sometimes things simply have to wait.

That is a big change for me.

Eventually, the fever and headache went away, but then there was another problem—my ear…

Unfortunately, I developed sudden hearing loss, apparently triggered by a viral infection!

I’ve never had so many things happen one after another, so I’m honestly quite surprised.

Maybe it’s just because I’m in my late 40s? Or perhaps my immune system has been weakened by my cancer medication?

Recently, I had the opportunity to read a book called Chris Beat Cancer: Why Did His Cancer Disappear? (Direct Publishing).

It is Chris’s personal story of battling stage 3 colon cancer.

In his case, he was able to have surgery from the beginning and successfully have the cancer removed. My situation was different because surgery was not initially an option for me, and I had no choice but to rely on systemic therapy. Still, I learned so much from his experience.

(And no, I’m not getting paid to promote this book 😂)

It reminded me once again of just how important exercise and diet are.

To help reduce the risk of recurrence, I’m going to do whatever I can, within my limits, to take better care of myself.

Finally, it has now been a year and a half since my diagnosis, and my husband, who was emotionally struggling for a long time, is finally starting to get back on his feet.

Finally. ✨

The weather has been extremely hot lately, so please take good care of yourselves and stay healthy!

Sending lots of love to you all ❤️
