14th Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League
The Goddesses Of Stardom tag league is an annual round-robin tournament involving 18 tag teams separated into two blocks (Red Goddesses and Blue Goddesses). Every team will have to compete in 8 block matches and the top 3 for their respective blocks advance to the finals. A win gives you 2 points, a draw gives 1 point, and losing a match gives none. The #1 team for each block automatically qualify for the semi-finals while the #2 and #3 team will fight in the quarter-finals (as shown below).
Where to watch?
The first tag league shows will be streamed live on STARDOM WORLD (not PPV). The show on 10/31 will be distributed at a later date as a VOD. The first few matches on the live shows might get streamed on the official YouTube channel for free. You can find more info about the events on the STARDOM website and official Twitter accounts (JP / EN). Schedules for events here and here for livestreams.

Dump Matsumoto and ZAP will team up with H.A.T.E. once more on the 27th. They are set to fight against COSMIC ANGELS.
RECENT STORIES
"Tropical Speed"
A battle royal for the next challenger of the High Speed Title occured at the kickoff show in the Nagoya Golden Fight PPV. Yuna Mizumori (COSMIC ANGELS) won the match after pinning Ranna Yagami to be the sole survivor. The title match is scheduled for October 27th which will be the 2nd day of the Goddess Of Stardom tag league in Korakuen Hall.
Yunamon for the High Speed Championship.......sounds pretty odd (even to the current champion Mei Seira). The title itself has had a weird year overall with not-so high speed wrestlers competing for it (like Saya Iida, Xena and Saya Kamitani who even won it).
Altough that doesn't mean Yunamon is incapable of outpowering against the High Speed Genius as she beat her in their first preliminary match (10/11). Yuna actually tried to keep up with Mei's speed fairly well too.
This however didn't slow Mei down as she outplayed Yunamon the day after.
While there was more fight in the final preliminary fight, the result was the same as before.
Yunamon asked Natsupoi (a former High Speed champion) to practice with her the day after. Poi inherited some of her techniques to Yuna and practiced them on Aya Sakura (as shown in the video).
FWC to America
The FWC duo of Hazuki and Koguma secured the two qualifier spots during a battle royal for a #1 contendership four-way match on NJPW's upcoming Fighting Spirit Unleashed show scheduled on November 8 in Boston.
The #1 contendership match for the NJPW Strong Women's title consits of AEW's Anna Jay, Hazuki, Koguma, and Trish Adora. This title is currently held by Mercedes Mone.
Little Devils
H.A.T.E.'s Rina & Azusa Inaba made their first successful defense of the New Blood Tag Team titles against ExV's HANAKO & Waka Tsukiyama (Rice Or Bread) during New Blood 16 (Oct 19).
Lady C & Ranna Yagami confronted them afterwards to declare a future shot for the titles.
Rina & Azusa Inaba intend to keep themselves as the stars of NEW BLOOD to keep it interesting and attract more newcomers.
Tam Road Chapter 2
Tam Nakano retained the World Of Stardom championship in Nagoya by defeating Suzu Suzuki in an intense battle. Suzu used everything to push Tam down into hell, but Tam's spirit was too strong to kill.
Both want to fight again sometime just because they love slapping the living shit out of each other out of disgust. Good thing Tam has found someone again that matches her freak of violence and intensity.
Tam will now focus on the road of revenge against the people who defeated her during her "darkest period" this year. The people who beat her in the 5STAR Grand Prix, Aja Kong, AEW's Willow Nightingale are names that pop up. While waiting for opponents on the big match for December 29 (and possibly Jan 3 if she's still champion), Tam already called her wishes to face Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Title in Wrestle Kingdom and AEW's Mercedes Mone for the TBS Title in Wrestle Dynasty. In doing so, she hopes to create a revival boom for women's pro wrestling.
An unexpected challenge did happen over in Tam's house.
Chikawa lost the title in seconds.
Tam Chapter 2.5?.
But who will be the next challenger in the road?.
We're not sure yet.
Tam and Syuri did get to face off during a tag match on Oct. 12, resulting in a closer confrontation that could lead to her next candidate for the title to be chosen.
The search for the next page in the chapter continues.
TIMELESS REVENGE
Mayu Iwatani achieved payback by defeating Toni Storm to retain the IWGP Title by a narrow margin. The shot of her doing the same dropkick that she attempted on Toni Storm from years ago where she injured herself but doing it successfully this time was used on Weekly Pro-Wrestling (ShuPro・週刊プロレス). Both respected each other in the end with Toni even changing her stance on Mayu from "Baka Bitch" to "Good Bitch". It was the end of Toni's short return to STARDOM.
Baby White Story lives on
Thekla's attempt to take complete revenge on Natsupoi fell short. Giving Poi her second successful defense of the Wonder Of Stardom championship. But both believe that this wasn't the end of this.
Not sure if she gives a shit though as 1/2 of the current Goddess Of Stardom champions who herself went on a little vacation instead of going to the press conference.
A match between her and Poi along with Just 5 Guys' Taichi and Bullet Club War Dogs' Clark Connors was announced for Historic X-over for November 17.
Looks like Poi may even get her revenge on Connors for that spear.
"The Tiger Hunter"
Hazuki and Starlight Kid (SLK) finally got to face 1-on-1 in a heated match that ended with a cheeky pin from SLK. Out of frustration, Hazuki grabbed a pair of scissors from under the ring and proceeded to rip the mask away from the tiger with no shame. A promise she made prior to the match that was fulfilled out of pure hatred. Fellow NEO GENESIS squad mate Miyu Amasaki came to help cover her face with a t-shirt as Hazuki embraced the boos.
While Kid may have been embarassed, she was glad to have a fierce opponent like Hazuki to be back and is now looking to focus on the Wonder Of Stardom title once again.
Is Hazuki joining H.A.T.E.?
The answer is no.
They encountered for a short while during the recent NJPW Strong Women's title qualifier battle royal (Oct 20). Hazuki tried to rip SLK's mask once more but immediately got stopped.
We don't know when they will be able to meet again, but it will be more interesting for sure.
The Supernova rises
Rina's record-breaking reign as Future Of Stardom title has come to an end as Miyu Amasaki finally managed to become victorious.
The "Supernova" is now set to take higher steps and try increase her worth and grow as a singles competitor.
Rina may have been disappointed with not getting her 13th defense, but she did feel a sense of relief and easily moved on. At just 17 years old, she definitely proved herself worthy to be something bigger.
Obsession
Saya Kamitani beat Sayaka Kurara again almost a year since Kurara's debut. Afterwards, Kurara got a hold of Saya's leg as she was about to leave. Saya then turned back and whispered something into Kurara's ear.
Kurara did hope that Kamitani may have changed her feelings into restoring the Golden Phoenix.
But apparently not.
Instead, Kamitani thinks that she be the one able to change Kurara's mind.
Kurara then tweets after the event that she should move forward and should not be easily moved herself.
Historic X-Over II
A tag match between the team of Natsupoi & Taichi going against Thekla & Clark Connors was announced on Oct 22nd.
That one spear from Connors to Poi got folks talking about it for a good while and was the first hint of what we were going to see in Historic X-over.
The day before the announcement, Natsupoi and Taichi did a collaboration live stream where they agreed to team up. They even got the approval from STARDOM President Taro Okada on the spot. Both have teamed up before in the previous Historic X-over.
The original guest for Taichi's live stream was going to be Mayu Iwatani but had to pull out due to illness. Not sure if the decision for the match was going to be different either way because of that.
OUTSIDE STARDOM
STARDOM x Evolution
Evolution's Chi Chi won SENDAI GIRLS' JaJaUma Tournament by beating COSMIC ANGELS' Aya Sakura in the finals (Oct 20). The Evolution people occasionally voice out their intent to overtake the big Joshi wrestling promotions like this one. Chi Chi and ZONES have made a few appearances in STARDOM before with negative feelings.
Both Aya and Chi Chi got to face each other again, but in an Evolution ring this time. Aya Sakura teamed up with HANAKO to go against Chi Chi & ZONES.
This could start a new rivalry.
SENDAI GIRLS
Syuri teamed up with DASH Chisako against Mika Iwata & Miyuki Takase (Red Energy) during SENDAI GIRLS' show on Oct 18.
Saori Anou who wished to fight Meiko Satomura when she was still SENDAI GIRLS World Champion will now get a chance on SENDAI GIRLS' Big Show in Niigata on November 9.
OZ ACADEMY
FWC duo of Hazuki & Koguma are competing in a 3-way tag match for the #1 contendership of the OZ Academy Tag Team Championship on Oct 27 (after Day 2 of Goddess tag league).
Syuri and Saori Anou are also going to compete in a "Elimination 10 Person Tag Last Woman Standing" match for a shot of the OZ Academy Openweight Championship.
The winner of this will get to face Mayumi Ozaki for the title later in the show.
The show can be viewed here.
WAVE
Saya Kamitani is scheduled to face Yuki Miyazaki for the Regina di wave championship on November 4 for Prime wave. Kamitani got this opportunity by winning the Catch The Wave tournament back in July as the Golden Phoenix.
EVE
Konami and Momo Watanabe are scheduled to compete in an All Star 6 Woman Tag for EVE's Halloween Forever in London on November 1.
More in the UK
AZM defeated Kanji in a singles match during RevPro's Global Wars show on October 19.
Mina Shirakawa also defended the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship against Lizzy Evo.
AZM and Mina Shirakawa went against each other the day after in NJPW's Royal Quest event during a tag match. Mina got pinned by Dani Luna which could lead to another title match between the two.
DIANA
Momo Watanabe defeated Haruka Umesaki during DIANA's Korakuen show on October 13.
