NULL Canvas

always from scratch

My club debut occured lastnight.

Three of my firends and I took a bus to get to the downtown Barrie, stopped at a bar, had a few glasses of Keith. It always is a great beer Keith is.

By the time I got to the club, it was already midnight, the place was jam packed with people, four-fifth of them is I would say drunk. the club was suprisingly big, you dont know how long and broad the place gets as you walk toward back. I didn't know there is such a place like this in Barrie being where only buses available for transportation, which stop running after midnight.

the place mainly features hip-hop type of music which most of the people seem to get a buzz off. Im ok with the music they play as long as I'm smashed, and lastnight, i was yes!

there are so many girls with skimpy on, wooo, that kinda make me want to come back from time to time.

I danced all night off guzzled beer, made a night of it.
JUMPER

JUMPER

A boy named David Rice, who's a ordinary boy, has a feeling for a girl named Millie got into an accident, falling through thin ice covering water. struggling in ice cold water just below its surface, everyone felt desparate about the situation. suddenly the boy dissapears under the water, next moment, he finds himself at the local library. this was his first jump.

The movie was rather entertaining, you get to see many touristee places egypt, newyork, london and toyko. casting is also gorgeous. Hayden Christensen, Samuel L, Jackson, Rachel Bilson.
Unfortunately, story line is nothing much too erratic, many unknown factors, why there are Jumpers and Paradins, and those gudgets, which the Paradins use.

I rate this movie two out of five.

I recieved two letters today, one had my SIN card, the other one is about driver license, it seems like I have to get my mug shot taken. I thought it was strange because I didn't get asked to get my photo taken. I should have asked. that lady must have forgotten about it.

Anyway, I did a lot of paper work since I came to Canada, first one wan getting my fishing lisence, I was pretty suprised to know that a lisence is required for fishing in Canada. So I filled a form, paid about C$20, that was my first one. I opened my bank account, got a cell phone. Those are that most people need to get soon after entering Canada. I also got my driver's lisence, work permit for my Coop, another work permit for offcampus part time jobs. that kinda make me feel I'm actually living in Canada. getting identification that Canadians have,

I have only three weeks left for this semester. after that, I've got a coop waiting, I don't know if I'm ready for that.

My friend and I went to the house where we are going to move in from this May today to sign the lease contract.

Paid C$200 for deposit, now my primary concern is to find a place where I can stay for about 10 days after moving out here which is most likely April 19th to May 1st.

I was thinking a homestay because I've done that when I first came to Barrie, I stayed in homestay, it was only three days, but the family members are really nice so I kind of wanted stay their place again if they don't have a student now. unfortunately from what I heard they have a Korean student now. well, things doesn't go as easy as I hope, but my friend said to me if I needed I can stay his place. he is such a nice guy, very generous and giving.

By the way, homestay is really common here even for students who stay here more than a year.
Some students who I know of stay at same homestay for more than a year. I am not a big fun of homestay, its just stressful enough to live with somebody who you don't really know. good things are that you don't have to buy stuff like a desk, chair, bed and most of stuff you use in your daily life.

I'm used to living alone, I have to live with five other people this time, umm, its gonna be interesting.

Beer became so interesting since I stepped into Canada.

So many kinds of beer are sold at local liquor stores, even beer store (a chain liquor store only sell beer) exist here in Canada. If you go to a beer store you'll see at least 50 kinds of beer labaled on a huge board attached to the wall.

Canada itself has many breweries includes local breweries which brews intersting taste beer.

Perhaps, most famous beer represents Canada is "Molson Canadian", that is lagar according to beer store webpage, but to me doesn't taste like lagar at all, thats probably because its less carbonate leaves the actual beer taste more clearly.

Anyway, there are types of beer

-Lagar
Lirght crisp and refreshing with smooth finish from longer aging

-Ale
Robust and complex with variety of fruit and malt aromas

-Stout
Deep, and dark flavourful with intense malt with caramel flavour

-Referenced from beer store webpage-

There are more than three types probably more than ten, Pilsner, Paleale, amber lagar....
Each has own distinctive taste, and can match with certain appertizers.

So, its like wines, each type has distinctive taste, certain foods doesn't match with ones.

So far, I think I had more than 10 kinds of beer in Canada, but, by far, the tastiest beer was "Traditional Ale by BIG ROCK BREWERIES". This was actually the beer that got me be interested in beer. Its dark colored, with very rich taste. I can recall exactly what it was like since I haven't had the beer for 8 months. Reason why is this beer only comes in bottles not cans, and where I live doesn't allow students to bring bottled beer. plus, this beer is not available in many places.

I tend to like dark beer over light, pale beer. I guess I like rich complex taste which ales tend to carry with. I always like to have some foods along with beer, so that is maybe it. I like just drinking refreshing crisp lagar as well though.

These are the website I always get advise from
The Opinionated Beer Page
This website is made by two beer loving guys, lists beer from all around the world even Japan.
a beer has been drunk by them rated by beer mugs, commented(some beer is ripped so badly).
But its really knowlegable website, especially if you want to know about beer from Europe and north America.

BeerStore
It's the chain liquor store's website, it has many contents with nice pictures, even beer glasses described upon purposes. It's a great website, however, it doesn't criticize the beer dealt in this store, so if you wanna opinions about beer, you should refer the opinionated.
