そうそう、今日さっき昼ねから起きてメールを確認してみると1通

むっかしーの英語の先生からメールが、内容を読んでみると
”えー旦那がこの度本を出すことになりました”とのこと

えー、これにはめっちゃ驚き、だって本人そんな本を書くようなタイプだとは思わなかったんだもん
どっちかってゆうとテレビの前で足を伸ばしてアメフト観戦をこよなく愛するタイプかと思っていました、人は見た目によらないね。

Oh what a nice sunny days for Christians.
They would have had a great time with their family, and thank you Barrie transit for not to run a single bus for two damn days that made me stuck at home.

well, good thing is that I got my essey almost done.

I just received an e-mail, which turned out to be from my old English teacher, saying
"my husband's book is going to be published on 5th of the April".

This really got me suprises, I haven't spoken to them for a long time, more than years.

I was taught English by the wise, the sender of the e-mail, way back in 2003 I think. After getting taught almost a year, I went to the US to study English further. I came back, I saw them maybe a couple times before I flew to Canada. And, they are now back in the US in Kansas. I exchanged an e-mail once to tell that I'm in Canada but, that was it.

My impression of him, Brian, he is the author, is I personally thought he is not a type of a man who likes writng. He seemed rather a guy sitting on a couch, enjoy watching american football. That is exactly why I am wirting this.

anyway, the book that is going to be released this time is a novel, a fiction.

ワイヤレス新基準802.11n

3連休二日目です

相変わらず暇なのですが来週提出予定のレポートを書いていました。
その中でとても興味深い事実を発見したのでご紹介したいと思います。

皆さんは現状のワイヤレスの基準ってご存知ですか
802.11a,b,gってあるんですが恐らく大部分の方はGを使ってると思います。

最高速度５４Mbps

これって恐らく今でも十分な速さだと思いますがこの頃光ファイバーの普及などにより１００Mbpsを売りにした高速インターネットが主流になっています。

その中で５４Mbpsはちょっと物足りないですよね、そこで今年新しく導入されたのが新基準802.11n

このNは最高速度を従来の54Mbpsから100Mbpsまで可能にする技術を備えなおかつ従来の送信
又は受信の方通信方法から送受信両方を同時に可能にした技術も備えています。

今はまだ市場にいくつかの商品が出回ってる程度ですがいづれは市場に回り、G基準に取り変わる存在になるでしょう。

よくワイヤレスに言われがちなのがセキュリティの問題。
これは今回の新基準によって大きな変化はなく従来のWPA方式が使い続けられるみたいです。
ちなみにWPA2が一番よいのかな。





The second day of three consecutive days off!

Still no one seems to have come back yet, I'm bored, it's such a beautiful day today, although air still cold enough to shove your hands into your jackets' pockets.

I've been writing a report for my communications course which is about wireless LAN over wired LAN.

We had to pick a topic based on one's course, so I picked this.
while I'm gathering infromation regards wireless, I found an interesting piece of infromation. I don't know everyone familiar with 802.11x standards, there are so far three standards used today's wireless LANs. there are a, b and g. However most users use g, which is newest among the three, has throughput up to 54Mbps.

But what I found out can provide you with greater throughtput of up to 100Mbps which I think is enough in today's ISP. also (this is a little techttalk) the standard can enable one's computer to send and receive data simultaneously which earleir standards could not perform.

Plus, further range let you go futher from the wireless router.

There are still a few products with 802.11n on the market available, but it will take over the g standard soon after the market is filled with new n standardized products.

イースター

今日はイースター、キリストの復活祭りだってさ
キリスト教にあまりなじみの無い自分にはよく分かりませんが周りのみんなは実家に帰っています。

祝日にお店が休みになるのはやっと慣れてきましたが、今回はBarrieの唯一の交通機関バスまで動きません。
文化の違いを理解するってやっぱり苦労しますね～ほんと昨日買い物行っといてよかったｗ

てなわけで、今日はどこにもいけません。
めっちゃ暇すぎたので伸びた髪を切ることにしました。かなーり短くした。2時間もかかったしw
でも意外にうまくいってよかった～




Today is Easter holiday, according to wikipedia, its the day to celebrate resurrection of Jesus.
Everybody is gone home, although I hear some people waking by my door, they are not known by me.

I'm a Japanese guy, not a christian, do not appreciate this holiday.
everysingle place is closed today there's even no bus running. it cannot happen in Japan, everysingle day public transportations have to run.

Anyway; I'm glad I had grocery shop done yesterday.
I've got nowhere to go, its so boring. So I cut my hair myself today, took me two hours but with my hair clipper, I think I did good job

1．新しいことを始めるにいたって共通して行うことは何か？
まず、それに関する情報を集める。インターネットはもちろん、その手に精通している人から、または本から出来る限りの情報を集める。始める事によって誰か教師的な役割を担ってくれるを持つことはとてもいいことだと私は思います。最初のミスを犯しやすい時期にそうゆう人を持つことで正しい方向に導いてもらえます。

2．助けを求められた時にあなたが共通して行う事は？
まず何が問題なのか、その人は何を必要としているかしっかり確認することが必要だと思います。必要に応じて適切に質問もしなくてはなりません。予想に基づいて何かを提案をすることはお互いの時間の無駄に繋がることもあるからです。

1．ルーターとは何か
ルーターとはOSIモデルの第3層で機能する機器です。ネットワークセグメント間を介するデータ送信の際には必ず必要な機器です。ルーターはそれ以外にもセキュリティの面で重要な役割を担ってくれます。ファイアーウォールやアクセス制限はその一部です。

2．スイッチとは何か
スイッチとはOSIモデルの第2層で機能する機器です。スイッチはMACアドレスを元に送信先のポートを認識しデータ送信を行います。そのため、ネットワークに放たれるデータの量が減ります。現在スイッチは第2層以外で機能するものが多数あります。


他にも色んな質問がありましたが今は忘れてしまいましたw
やはり、英語になると回答がとても難しいです、シンプルに分かりやすくいこうとしても心の奥でプロフェッショナルにいきたいとゆう部分があり、それが回答を複雑にして勝手にこんがらがることが何度もありました。
次回はできるだけ多くの質問を用意し答えられるようにしたいです。

1. What is a common thing you do when you start a new thing.
I gather as much information as I can about the thing I'm trying to start. information can be found in the internet, someone who's keen on the thing and books. depending on what you start, I think having a mentor is always great help in order to stay on the right truck when you are easily misguided by your own decisions.


2. What is a common aproach when you are asked for help from someone.
I think you need to clarify what the person's needs, ask questions you are not sure what the person's needs. because guessing can lead just a waste of both time. then, provide the person with solusions you can think of.

1. What are routers.
The rounter is a network equipment used in network layer of OSI model, any organization need to transmit data over other network segment needs a router. a router is a bridge to connect multiple network segments can also be great security equipment as a firewall and access restrictions

2. What are switches
The switch is equipment used in Datalink layer of OSI model, a switch reads MAC address to determine destination ports, so that unnecessary data transmission is not sent on LANs. there are not only layer two switches but also layer three, four and five six...

There were more but I forgot them now, some of them are really hard, especially there are so many questions based on scinarios like " when you saw someone at work seeing other people's privacy.... what would you do" there were many of those questions asked at RH. I have another work term after the fall semester. so I need to be familiar with those questions again. Getting a job for next work term is going to be more challenging than this time. because many of those who have no experience going to have some experience on this work term. I was one of a few who have experience in IT. that does not help after this. I need extra something to set me apart from other people for next work term,

5月から住む家がほぼ決まりそうです
今日友達と家を見せてもらいに行きました。学校から歩いて5分とゆう近さにあり実際の建物の外装も綺麗です。
着くとすぐに大家さんが受け入れてくれて家を案内してくれました。

ここは6人で住む家でありお風呂は二つ、部屋は地下に１つ、１階に１つ、２階に4つあります。
自分が住む予定なのは2階にある部屋のうちの一つ。

今使っている部屋よりは若干狭いけど今の部屋には備え付けのでっかいベッドが陣取ってるからそれ考えるといいかな～って思います。

価格は500カナダドル。

ここの相場とくらべると若干高めですがそれでも学校から近いためバスを利用する必要がないのは嬉しい限りです。

また来週の火曜に行って契約する予定です。





I found a place to move in from the next semester sweet!

A guy from my floor took me to the place today, he is a good friend of mine ever since I moved to this residence. The place is about five mins away from the college. It appears great from outside. There are right now five people living there I think all go to the same college. Anyway, the landlord welcomed us in, my firend he has already seen this place know the landlord. He always told that landlord is laidback and understanding. And he is, he showed me the inside from the basement to the second floor. The place looked great. a washmachine and a drier are already there. a big freezer is there too. the room in the basement was spacious, my friend wants it. there are four rooms in the second floor. each one looks a little smaller than my room now, but its ok, I've got a huge bed in my room taking up space.

So there is going to be other four people living there from this May, I think it'll work out, my friend knows other two people. Its C$500 per month, its not cheap considering the avarage around the area, but its in proximity to the college, we would never have to bus which can be really nice especially during winter.

We are going to get paper works done this Tuesday. and we are all set.
