コーヒーとエクセシオールと聞くと、日本のエクセシオールカフェを思い出しましたが、雰囲気が違います。全く関係ないので当然ですが。
こちらはコミュニティコーヒーショップ
Lea Sabado さんとAndre Higginbothamさんが2019年の夏にオープン。
Infatuationでは、サンフランシスコのベストコーヒーショップの一つとして、
先日ご紹介したthe Coffee Movementなどと一緒に取り上げられています。
黒色を基調に、黄色がアクセント。
可愛いというよりクールでキリッとした感じの印象。
バイク関連のものが取り入れられているインテリア。
モカとラテ
他のドリンクメニューにラベンダーラテやローズラテがあることを後から知りました。
今度試してみたいです。
ショーケースに並んでいたペイストリーからいくつか。
モーニングバン
想像以上にサクサクしていて美味しかったです。
クリームチーズデニッシュ
甘すぎず、美味しかったです。

Hello everyone!
A coffee shop and cafe in the Excelsior District;
Excelsior Coffee
When I first heard of coffee and Excelsior, the first thing came to mind was the Excelsior Cafe in Japan. But, the images and atmosphere are different. It’s not surprising but it’s interesting. The Excelsior Coffee is a community coffee shop and a cafe. Lea Sabado and Andre Higginbotham, “partners in life and love,” opened it in summer 2019.
It was featured as one of “the Best Coffee Shops in SF” by Infatuation along with the Coffee Movement I introduced not long time ago. They use black as a base color with a yellow accent. It’s not like a cute cafe but a cool cafe. You could see some bike related stuff as a part of interior.
We had the Oatmilk Mocha and Latte. I realized that they have other special drinks like Lavender Latte and Rose Latte after ordering. I’d definitely would like to try next time. We also had some pastries from the showcase.
The Morning Bun was very flakey which was more flakey than expected and tasted well. The Cream Danish was not too sweet and good. We liked them both. According to Eater SF in 2022, “the shop features some of the buzziest pastries in town, including Astranda cinnamon buns and Rize Up sourdough.”
