約3年ぶり？！に、
メジャーリーグ 野球の試合を観に行ってきました
ジャイアンツ野球観戦
現在サンフランシスコの野球場、オラクルパークでは、特にコロナによる入場制限がなくなりました。
ワクチン接種の証明を見せる必要はなく、さらにマスクもする必要がありません
私はできる限りマスクしていましたがほとんどの人はマスクなし
かなりドキドキでしたが、今のところ問題なさそうです。
驚いたのが、入口のセキュリティチェック
今までだったら、ジャケットを脱いで、鞄の中を見せて、という感じで、結構時間がかかる作業でしたが、
スーッと通って何も言われなかったので、
最初セキュリティチェックは無くなってしまったの
と逆に不安に思いましたが、
どうやら入口にきちんとセキュリティチェックできる機械があって
そこを通るだけで、全部確認できるらしいです。
引っかかった人だけ少し横の場所で、再チェックされていました。
かなり入口で並ぶ時間を短縮できたのでは
平日の夜の試合、というだけあって、結構ガラガラでした
人が多い方が楽しいものの、コロナの不安があったので、ちょうどよかったです

入って、上の階に上がるのに長いこと歩くのもすっかり忘れていました
クラブハウスは、入口入るとこんな感じです。
右に歩いていくと食べ物や飲み物を買える場所へ
写真撮ったものの、なんとぶれていてこちらでお見せ出来ず
一角だけ
随分とお値段が上がったような気がしました
以前は、一番お安いホットドッグが6.5ドル程でしたが、今回は8ドル近く
ビールもなんと一杯16ドル
かなり驚きました。
野球場や劇場の食べ物や飲み物は、高いものとは思っていたものの、想像以上な値段に

お腹いっぱいになりました
いかにも身体に良くない食べ物ですが、出来立てでおいしくいただきました
試合自体はジャイアンツは負けてしまい、残念でしたが、
久しぶりの観戦、楽しかったです
最近は、結構な頻度で、スペシャルイベントがあるみたいで、
いく日によって、Tシャツがもらえたり、グッズがもらえたりするので、
要チェック
土曜日は、ポージーデイ、と言って、辞めた元捕手のポージーが来て、ちょっとしたイベント
かなり賑わっていました
そして、連日負けていたジャイアンツもこの日は勝ちました
しかも、その日から連勝
日曜日は、母の日
サンフランシスコで有名なチョコレートギラデリがスポンサーで、トートバッグがもらえたみたいです。
少し注意したいのが、
入場した順にギフトを受け取り、受け取れる人数に制限があったり、
普通のチケットに特別イベント代として追加料金を払わないとイベントのギフトがもらえないということもあること

It's been almost 3 years since last time I went to a baseball game! Finally, we decided to go to the Giants game.
Giants Game at Oracle Park
Currently, there is no restricions on Covid to enter Oracle Park in San Francisco. It means that you don't need to neither show a proof of vaccination nor wear a mask. I tried to wear a mask as much as possible but as expected, few of audience were wearing a mask. I was nervous but so far, I don't see any symptom so I should be fine.
I was surprised at a new security check in. I felt like there was no security check as nobody was checking my purse. I didn't have to take off any jacket. I was able to go inside without waiting so long. It turned out that they used a new technology and they put some security gate at the entrance so it can detect any dangerous objects. People who got caught had to go to a side and go through a bit more check. I thought it was amazing. I imagine that solved a long wait time.
As it was an evening weekday game, seats were a sort of empty. I like a vibe with a lot of audience at the stadium but due to a concern of Covid, I thought it was a good amount of people. There were a space between other people.
I totally forgot how far the upper deck is from the entrance. We had to walk up a few stairs to get to a club house level. I added some pictures above.
In terms of consessions, it was surprising how much they raised a price. A basic hot dog used to be around $6.5 but it was around $8.0. 12 oz of beer was $16. I knew food and drinks are expensive at the stadium but it was more than I expected. We had a hotdog, fried chcken and french fries. I got full. They are not heathly food but I enjoyed it as it was right after they were fried.
Unfortunately, Giants lost this day but I had fun!
Apparently, they have special events quite often so you could get some giveaway or goods depending on the day such as a special T-shirt. It's good to check out thier schedule!
For instance, the Giants made last Saturday, Buster Posey Day, invited a former iconic cather, Buster Posey to the stadium and celebrated him. There was a huge crowd. In spite of losing some games in a row, the Giants won on that day. Since then, they've been winning games! Sunday was Mother's Day and you could get a tote bag sponsored by a popular chocolate company in San Francisco, Ghiradelli.
You should be mindful that sometimes a gift is given first comes first serve and sometimes you have to pay extra money in order to get some gifts on a special event day.
