船の上下船の語彙を調べていたらlo̍h-chûn(3., 7.)は両方の意味があった。
これは船の大きさが小さい時は桟橋や陸から船に降りるように乗り込むが，大型化すると逆に桟橋や陸から船に乗り込んでいくようになったためだろう。

When I was looking up the vocabulary for getting on and off a boat, I found that the word of "lo̍h-chûn (3., 7.)" had both meanings.
This is probably because in the days when the boats were small, people boarded them from the pier or land as if they were getting down into the boats, but in the days as ships became larger, people boarded them from the pier or land instead.
