定期演奏会の演奏曲紹介、まずは第一部演奏曲を紹介します
ひまわり
ひまわりの花言葉は「憧れ」「情熱」とされています。
「仲間たちとずっと演奏を続けたい」という思いから誕生した京吹の50回定演までの歩みにも思いを馳せつつ、音楽や仲間たちへの感謝も込めたオープニング曲です。
曲はシンプルなメロディと構成で、太陽に向かって成長していくような力強さもあり、
とても魅力的です。
今の日本の〝ミュージックメーカー〟の一人といえる葉加瀬太郎さんの作品です。
YouTubeで葉加瀬さんのコンサート映像をご覧になった方も多いと思います。ステージいっぱいに子どもたちが登場する演出が感動的です。
「憧れ」「情熱」は私たち京都吹奏楽団の活動の原点でもあります。
ささやかな演出も加えた京吹の「ひまわり」をお楽しみに！
ミュージック・メーカーズ
この曲は吹奏楽の巨匠アルフレッド・リード作曲で、1967年に発表された曲です。
"We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,"
この一説から始まる
イギリスの詩人アーサー・オショーネシーの叙事詩「頌詩（Ode）」からインスピレーションを得て作曲されました。
「頌詩（Ode）」の冒頭一編を紹介します。
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
私たちは音楽の創造者です、
そして、夢の夢想家なのです、
孤高の航海者が彷徨う、
荒涼とした小川のほとりに座っている。
世界を失う者、世界を見捨てるもの、
淡い月の輝きが降りそそぐ
それでも私たちは動く者であり、揺り動かす者である
この世界で永遠のように

「この曲は2小節の序奏に続くアレグロの楽章の形式で、7つのモチーフから構成されている（そのうち1つだけが完全なメロディに発展している）。残りのモチーフは、勇ましさと叙情性が交互に現れ、絶えず形式、雰囲気、色彩を変化させながら華麗なコーダで締めくくられる。
この作品は、音楽が人間の精神を動かし、人生における最高のものを夢見ることを後押ししてくれ、音楽がその夢を達成させる力を持つということを、喜びをもって肯定するものである。」

この詩も音楽のような美しい韻で構成されており、音楽の喜びと、偉大な力を称えています。
ちなみに、京都吹奏楽団の秋の野外演奏会「ミュージック・メーカーズ」は、
仲間たちと音楽を作り上げる喜びと、
私たち自身もミュージック・メーカーズでありたいという思いから、この曲にちなんで命名されました

この曲は今の日本の新世代〝ミュージックメーカー〟の作曲家、高橋宏樹氏の作品です。
西三河ウインドオーケストラ第20回定期演奏会のために作曲された曲で、
タイトルのAnnivertureはAnniversary(記念日)とOverture(序曲)を掛け合わせた作曲者の造語です。
「曲は吹奏楽的な序曲でもあり、ハリウッドやラテンなどのリズムスタイルを取り入れたポップスでもある、そんな楽曲に仕上げています。ショータイムのようなファンファーレのあと、基本となるテーマがボサノヴァやサンバなど、ラテンを中心とした様々なスタイルで奏でられます。
クラシカルな中間部を経て、ブルースコード進行のアドリブゾーンへと突入します。曲は徐々にテーマへ戻り勢い良
く幕を閉じます。」
と作曲者の解説にもあるように
様々なジャンルにアレンジがされたテーマが次々に現れる、作曲者の遊び心に溢れた楽しい曲です。
