【ペンギン基礎知識 －その１１－】

こんばんは、とりです。
ペンギンの基本知識第１１弾、今週はマカロニペンギンです。
●マカロニペンギン
「マカロニ」というと「食べるマカロニ」を思い浮かべる方が多いと思いますが、マカロニペンギンの「マカロニ」は意味が違います(^_^;)。「おしゃれ者」という意味です♪
外見はイワトビペンギンに似ていますが、飾り羽の形が違います♪ あと、生息域も違ったりします。
個体数についてです。野生下の個体はとってもたくさんいるのですが、日本国内では１０羽いるかいないか、という数まで減ってしまいました。正確な数字は把握しておりませんが、とてもまずい状況だと思っています。
今、確実に見ることができるのは長崎ペンギン水族館と下関市にある海響館ですが、それ以外の園館はしばらく訪問していないので、紹介は控えさせていただきます。

The eleventh basic information of penguins is about Macaroni Penguins.

When we hear the word 'Macaroni' in Japanese, we imagine pasta that we eat, however, it isn't correct about penguins. It means stylish!
They look like Rockhopper Penguins, but crests are different. Also, areas they live are different.
As for numbers, there are many wild Macaroni Penguins in the world, but in Japan, only about ten penguins live. I don't know exact number, but it is in danger, I think.
We can see them in Nagasaki Penguin Aquarium and Shimonoseki Marine Science Museum Kaikyokan certainly, but I don't visit other zoos or aquariums that may keep them now for a long time, so I omit introduce them.
