今年も高校柔道選手権が行われました。
参加された皆さん、おつかれさまでした!
今年は2019年以来の有観客開催となり、会場となった日本武道館には大勢の皆さんが集まり、熱心に観戦されていました。選手の保護者の皆さんも応援はもちろん、大会そのものを楽しんでおられて、こういう雰囲気はやはり良いものだなぁと思いました。
高校選手権は、１、２年生が出場する、いわば新人戦な的な位置づけです。
これから自分がやらなければいけないことや課題が見えたという選手も多いことでしょう。
試合に出られなかった人も、観ることで学んだことがたくさんあると思います。
私も数十年前にこの大会に出場し、たくさんのことを学びました。
今回の経験を生かし、これからの成長につなげてほしいと思います。
National High School Championships
The National High School Championships were held again this year. A big ‘Well done!’ to everyone who took part.
For the first time since 2019 spectators were allowed and a huge crowd gathered at the Nippon Budokan to watch enthusiastically. It was great to enjoy the atmosphere of the event and of course to see the parents of the athletes cheer them on.
At the High School Championships, 1st and 2nd year students take part making it a battle between beginners for a place.
I’m sure for a lot of them it was an opportunity to reflect on what they need to do to improve. Even those who were spectating and not able to take part, I’m sure they learned a lot.
I remember getting a lot from this competition when I took part years ago.
I hope you will all build on this experience and improve!
