ジャイアンツの宮崎キャンプ訪問翌日の２月12日に、宮崎市内で行われた宮崎県柔道選手権におじゃましました。
大会は今年で40回の節目を迎えたそうです。私自身も第７回大会から４年間に渡り出場した思い出の大会です。懐かしいなあーと思いながら見学させていただきました。
また、中学２年生の優勝者には以前から「井上康生杯」として記念の盾を贈呈しているのですが、今年から新たに女子が加わり、男女それぞれ１名の選手に贈ることとなりました。ピカピカの盾を寄贈できて、とても嬉しいです。
宮崎の皆さん、これからも練習を頑張って下さい！皆さんのご活躍を心より期待しています。
A New INOUE Kosei Cup
On February 12th, the day after visiting the Giants training camp, I went along to the Miyazaki Judo Championships which was being held in Miyazaki City.
This year marked the 40th Championships. It was a memorable event for me as I took part four times from the 7th year on. It was really nostalgic for me to watch.
Previously at the competition 8th grade winners had been presented with the INOUE Kosei Cup but from this year another Cup has been added, one for girls and one for boys. I felt very proud and happy seeing the shiny plaque.
Keep training hard everyone in Miyazaki! I’M looking forward to seeing you all succeed!
