本日はご報告があります。
すでにご存じの方もおられるかと思いますが、この度、エレベーターの保守・点検・リニューアルを専業とするジャパンエレベーターサービスホールディングス株式会社が柔道部を設立することとなり、ゼネラルマネ—ジャーに就任することとなりました。
柔道部は４月１日付けで発足し、監督には井上智和氏が就任いたします。
柔道部設立に向け、かねてより準備を進めてきましたが、２月27日に東京都内で記者会見を行い、皆様にお知らせできましたことを心から嬉しく思っております。
柔道部発足にあたっての経緯としては、私がJESの石田克史会長と知り合い、何度かお会いしてお話をうかがうなかで、その仕事観、人生観に深く感銘したところから始まります。
JESは、人として信頼されるエンジニア集団を目指しており、人作りをとても大切に考えており、「見えないからこそ手を抜かない」という企業理念を掲げています。それが社会のインフラたるエレベーターの安心・安全には必要であり、ひいては社会貢献にも繋がると考えているからです。
これは、日々の修行を通じて人として成長し、世を補益することを究極の目的とした柔道の理念と一致します。このようなお話を何度か重ねていくうち、柔道部設立に話が広がり、正式に発足する運びとなりました。実業団チーム設立は大変大きな決断です。このような決断をして下さった石田会長には感謝しかありません。
チーム運営についてですが、私はＧＭという立場で選手強化の環境整備やシステム作りなど統括にあたり、現場の指導は井上智和氏が担当します。
智和氏は、選手として、日本一、国際大会優勝等の経験を持ち、また誠実で明るい性格を持っていることでたくさんの方々から慕われる存在でありました。そんな兄を弟としても柔道家としても大変尊敬しております。
この度の監督就任は覚悟を持っての決断であると思いますし、これから学んでいくことばかりだと思いますが、前職でのコーチと少年柔道の経験を生かし、リーダーシップを発揮し、良き柔道部を作っていってくれるのではないかと思っています。
また、日本には伝統ある素晴らしい実業団チームがたくさんあり、日本柔道を力強く牽引し、支えておられます。この度、JES柔道部は実業柔道に新たに参入するわけですが、関係する皆様に実業柔道の仲間として認めていただけるような、チームにしていきたいと考えています。
そのためにも、人作りを第一に据え、柔道を通じて社会に還元できるような選手を育成し、そのようなチームにすることを究極の目的として、真摯に、誠実に全力で活動してまいります。

Announcement – Establishment of JES Judo Club
Thank you for following my blog. Today I have an announcement to make.
As some of you may already know JAPAN ELEVATOR HOLDINGS Co LTD, a company specializing in the maintenance , inspection and renewal of elevators has established a Judo Club and I will be the General Manager. The Club will start on April 1st with INOUE Tomokazu as coach.
Preparations to establish the club have been underway for a while but the official announcement was made at a press conference in Tokyo on February 27th.It is a great pleasure for me to make this announcement.
The backstory to the inception of the judo club involves my meeting ISHIDA Katsushi, Chairperson of JES. After meeting and talking with him a number of times I was impressed with his views on work and on life.
JES aims to be a trusted group of engineers. Placing a great emphasis on developing human resources. The corporate philosophy is ‘Never Cut Corners.’
Our philosophies align as they aim to contribute to society by providing safe and reliable elevators which are part of our infrastructure. The philosophy behind judo also being to develop and grow as a person through daily training while also contributing to society.
After discussing this many times, it lead to talk of founding a judo club and eventually the official inauguration . Establishing a business team is a huge decision. I am extremely grateful to Mr ISHIDA for this opportunity.
In terms of running the club I will be installed as General Manager in charge of unifying systems and setting up the right environment to strengthen the team. Actual instruction will be over seen by coach INOUE Tomokazu.
As an athlete Tomokazu has a lot of experience. He has been top in Japan as well as winning competitions abroad. He is well liked by everyone for his sincere and cheerful personality. As his younger brother and a fellow judoka I have a lot of respect for him.
He was very determined in his decision to become coach and though there is a lot to learn I believe he will utilize his previous experience as a youth judo club coach to demonstrate his leadership and build a great judo club.
There are many business teams in Japan with a long tradition that give great traction and support, leading the way in Japanese judo. JES Judo club will be new on the business judo scene. I hope everyone involved will work together to make it a worthy member of the business judo community.
With that aim our primary goal will be to put human resource development first, forming athletes who can give back to society through judo. The ultimate goal of creating such a team is something we will all do our utmost to achieve.
