私たちの父であり、柔道の師である父・井上明が９月４日、宮崎市内で永眠いたしました（享年75）。
ここに生前のご厚誼に深く感謝し、謹んでお知らせ申し上げます。
通夜および告別式は、次男・井上智和を喪主として近親者にてすでに執り行いました。
何卒ご理解いただきますようお願い申し上げます。
父は柔道をこよなく愛し、特に我々兄弟は多くの愛情と情熱を持って指導を頂きました。今の自分達がいるのは、父の存在なくしてはありえませんでした。
また、父は大変頑固であり、わがままでもありましたので、多くの方にご迷惑をおかけしたのではないかと心配しております。しかし、人情味溢れ、皆様から親しまれる性格も持ち合わせておりました。我々はそんな父、師が大好きでしたし、心から尊敬しておりました。
そして、多くの素晴らしい皆様方に支えられ、父は本当に幸せ者だったと思います。
長年に渡り病気療養を続け、不屈の闘志で病魔と闘ってまいりましたが力尽きました。本当によく頑張ってくれたと思います。父らしく生き抜いた75年の人生でした。
生前、父がお世話になりましたすべての皆様に心より御礼を申し上げます。
このような形でのご報告になりましたことをご理解下さいますようお願い申し上げます。

INOUE Akira our father and judo master passed away on 4 September in Miyazaki aged 75.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to you for your kindness and friendship during his lifetime.
The wake and funeral were held with close relatives in attendance. INOUE Tomokazu, second-born son acted as chief mourner. Thank you for your kind understanding.
My father loved judo dearly and taught with a great deal of love and passion particularly to us, his sons. We would not be where we are today without our father.
Our father was also very stubborn and selfish, and I fear that he may have caused difficulties for many people. He was also however, very warm-hearted, and friendly. We both loved and respected our father and mentor from the bottom of our hearts.
Our father was truly blessed to have the support of so many wonderful people.
He had been recuperating from illness for many years and had fought against the disease with an indomitable spirit, but in the end he was exhausted. I truly believe he did his best. Our father lived out his 75 years of life his own man.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who was there for my father during his life.
Thank you for your understanding in the manner we have announced his death.
