10月ももう半ばを過ぎました。
それぞれの立場と役職で目まぐるしい日々を過ごしています。
勤務先の東海大では対面による授業が徐々に増えてきました。
授業はオンラインと併用となっており、
慌ただしい面もありますが、この新しい日常に新鮮な気分で送っています。
全日本柔道連盟の仕事では、
新しく就任したブランディング戦略推進委員会の事業を少しずつ進めおり、
全日本の活動には、男女統括強化副委員長という立場で引き続き携わっています。
先週末にはグランドスラム・パリが開催されました。
日本にとっては東京五輪後初の国際大会となり、
男子が４階級、女子が３階級で優勝することができました。
男子は鈴木桂治新監督の初陣となりましたが、
重量級などで課題はあったものの
次につながる良い大会になったかと思います。
パリ五輪へ向け、新たな一歩を踏み出しました。
また、国内でも秋から冬にかけて大会が目白押しです。
11月に入ると延期となっていた
全日本学生柔道優勝大会、全日本学生柔道体重別選手権大会が行われ、
12月、１月も大会が続々控えています。
いずれも感染防止に努めながらの開催となります。
どんな試合が見られるか、今からとても楽しみです！
A New Step Forward
We are already halfway through October.
Life is busy fulfilling my various roles and positions.
The number of in person lessons are increasing where I work at Tokai University.
Lessons are being held both online and in person, which can be a bit hectic, but I feel refreshed and am enjoying my new daily routine.
I am progressing steadily in my new position with the Japan Judo Federation, as chairman of the strategy and branding committee and continue to be involved in the activities of the All Japan Judo Federation in my position as Vice Chairman of both the Men's and Women's General Strengthening Committee.
The Paris Grand Slam took place last weekend. It was the first international event for the Japanese team since the Tokyo Olympics.
The men’s team came first in four weight categories and the women’s team won three.
It was the first competition for new coach Keiji Suzuki to lead the team. Although there were some issues, including in the heavyweight class, I think it was a good tournament that will help to lead us forward.
Here in Japan over autumn and winter, we have a lot of competitions planned.
In November, the previously postponed All Japan Student Judo Champions and the All Japan Judo weight class championships will be held.
Further competitions will continue throughout December and January.
The above events will all be held with measures in place to prevent the spread of infection.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of matches are in store!
