2月に入りました。
ご存じの方も多いと思いますが、
今月の冬季遠征は東京五輪代表選考対象大会となっており、
代表候補上位の選手達が出場を予定しています。
選手たちは現在、それぞれの所属で準備を続けています。
監督としての私は選手の各所属先におじゃまして、
選手の様子を確認、指導者の皆さんと情報を交換しています。
代表を選考する立場にいる私に今できることは選手を見守るだけです。
これから続く選考対象大会では
全ての選手達が今できる最高のパフォーマンスを発揮し、
納得いく試合をして欲しいと思っています。
今年の2月は日本柔道にとって勝負の1ヶ月です。

On Patrol
We are now into February.
As I am sure a lot of you know, this month’s winter tour is a selection competition for the Tokyo Olympics and high-ranking candidates are planning to take part.
Right now, athletes are preparing themselves at their home grounds. I am visiting each of them to check in on the athletes and share information with the other instructors.
As someone in a position to select the representatives all I can do at the moment is observe.
Over the coming selection competition, I hope the athletes will show us some great matches and really give their best performance.
This February really is a deciding month for Japanese judo. I hope you will offer all our athletes your support!
