昨年の12月のことになりますが、
「井上康生後援会」の総会・懇親会が東京都内で行われ、
出席してきました。
当日は年末のお忙しいなか、たくさんの方にご出席いただきました。
すべての会議が滞りなく行われ、
懇親会では和やかなひとときを過ごすことができました。
ありがとうございました。
この「井上康生後援会」は、2016年12月に発足。
2020年東京五輪に向け、
柔道を通じた人材育成と社会貢献を行う、
個人的な活動をご支援いただいています。
2017年度は、このブログでもご報告した、
中国などでの柔道教室の活動をサポートいただいたほか、
アメリカから日本にやって来た柔道修習生の滞在支援、
私が監督を務める柔道男子日本代表チームの活動にも一部
ご支援いただきました。
懇親会では、これらについてパワーポイントを作成してご報告したほか、
参加者のおひとりおひとりと懇談しました。
国際交流や世界選手権についてなど、
いろいろとお話しすることができ、私自身、とてもうれしかったですし、
後援会の活動、そして日本柔道への期待を感じました。
2020年東京五輪というビッグイベントに向け、
柔道、そしてスポーツの素晴らしさを会員のみなさんと共有し、
来年度もさらに活発な活動を展開していきたいと、
気持ち新たにした総会・懇親会となりました。
日ごろからのご支援に感謝するとともに、
このような機会を設けていただいたことに、
改めてお礼申し上げます。
A Day of Thanks
Last December, I went to a conference held by the Kosei Inoue Supporters Association in Tokyo.
A lot of people took time out of their busy schedules to participate in the event.
It was a rather laid-back gathering and all of the meetings went smoothly.
Thank you so much.
The Kosei Inoue Supporters Association was started in December of 2016.
I'm receiving a lot of support from them for my personal endeavors to improve myself and contribute to society through judo in preparation for the 2020 Olympics.
They supported me last year when I held judo classes in China,
as I mentioned in my blog, but I also receive financial support from them for my apprentice from America's living expenses,
as well as for the Japan Men's Judo team that I am in charge of directing.
After explaining each of these using a PowerPoint I made,
I talked to each of the participants individually.
I was really happy to be able to talk to everyone about my international exchange and the world championships,
but I also left with high expectations of their activities,
as well as for judo in Japan in general.
With the 2020 Olympics coming up,
the conference was not only a good chance to talk to everyone who came about how amazing judo and other sports are,
but it also left me feeling like doing my best to do even more this year.
I want to express my deepest thanks to everyone for not only supporting me every day, but for providing me with this great opportunity to exchange ideas and gain moral support.
