明日から2日間にわたり、
千葉ポートアリーナで、
講道館杯全日本選抜体重別選手権が開かれます。
この大会は、来年のアブダビ世界選手権
日本代表の第1次選考大会であり、
来月、12月2、3日の
グランドスラム東京（東京体育館）の代表選考も兼ねています。
この大会で結果を出すことで、
年明けの欧州でのグランドスラムやグランプリ大会への道が開かれ、
世界へ挑戦するチャンスを引き寄せることができます。
つまり、シーズンの行方を決めるとても大事な試合です。
選手たちがどんな柔道を見せてくれるのか。
結果はもちろんですが、
どのような意識をもって、
今大会に向けて準備してきた事についても、
試合内容からしっかり確認したいと思います。

そして、今年は講道館杯と同じ日程で
世界無差別選手権がモロッコ・マラケシュで開催されます。
日本男子代表は、
王子谷剛志と、影浦心の2選手。

The Kodokan Cup Starts Tomorrow!
The Kodokan Cup All-Japan's Championship
by Weight Category is going to be held at the Chiba Port Arena for the next 2 days.
This competition serves as the first selection process for athletes to join the Japan team,
and the competition at Grand Slam Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium)
on the 2nd and 3rd of next month will further narrow the selection.
Doing well in this competition will open the way to competing
in the Grand Slam or Grand Prix Tournaments in Europe early next year,
giving one the chance to compete at a world-class level.
In other words, these matches are extremely important in deciding
how this season will play out for each athlete.
I can't wait to see the athletes show us what they're capable of.
Of course, results are important, but I will also be looking
at what kind of mindset they come to the competition with as well as
how much preparation they have put in for this competition.
Same-day tickets are available, so if you have the time,
I encourage you all to come by and watch.

Also, on the same days of this competition,
the World Open Championships are in Marrakech, Morocco.
Two athletes, Takeshi Ojitani and Kokoro Kageura,
