[chapter 242] I Want to Be with You So I'll Be with You

First, let me summarize the story so far. Since Chizuru said that she didn't know her feelings for Kazuya and that she was going to look into it, many readers may think that the plot will depict a story in which Chizuru realizes that she is in love with him. However, such a story wouldn't be depicted. Because Chizuru's aware that her feelings are love (please read Chizuru Mizuhara's Love Story for more details).
The obstacle in front of her now is not that she does not know her feelings, but that she cannot reveal her true feelings to Kazuya. She has always explained to Kazuya that she plays "girlfriend" as her job as a rental girlfriend. So, she can't explain that she was really doing it because she loves him. Also, she is too embarrassed to say that she is in love with him. So, for the time being, she pretends that she doesn't know how she feels and withholds her answer to his confession. In the future, Chizuru may give a reason that she wants to know how she feels for him in order to be with him (or to ask him out), but she wouldn't try so hard to find out her own feelings. Because there is no need to do so.
Also, the situation between them has changed drastically when she told Kazuya that she would consider a private relationship with him in a positive way. Although there was supposed to be no romance between a rental girlfriend and a client, they finally overcame that obstacle. Since Mizuhara is willing to allow it, even asking her out on a date is no problem. Chizuru also intends to do so ([ch 239] I Won't Say I'm Your Rental Girlfriend).
In chapter 242, Kazuya and Chizuru never stopped making out lol. Dating is not about what you do, but who you are with. That's exactly how it is.
Mizuhara is doing the wrong thing as a rental girlfriend and feels very guilty about Ruka-chan. Still, she is facing Kazuya's feelings (Chapter 241). This time, she made time for him even though she was busy preparing for the stage performance. Knowing this, Kazuya is filled with the feeling that he wants to answer her kindness and sincerity.

But Chizuru doesn't feel disgusted at all and replies, "PLEASE DON'T WORRY. I'LL GIVE IT EVERITHING I HAVE". This is the point where you can't help but grin. The reason why Chizuru is listening to Kazuya's words calmly is because she feels the same way as he does and she wants him to feel so, right? LOL. When Kazuya told her that he had already told Ruka-chan he wanted to break up with her, that his feelings was clear, and that he would wait for her for 10 years or even 20 years, she must have felt once again that he would always love only her forever more. She seems unconcerned in front of Kazuya, but I am sure she is too happy and full of happiness in her true feelings. After she went back to her room, I think Chizuru would complain to Kazuya, "You always exaggerate!," and would be writhing in embarrassment, "You're so cute, I love you, I love you, I love you!". Lol.
What's with the "please don't worry"!? Don't you guys make out! It's embarrassing for me to watch! Lol. They're already having such a lovey-dovey conversation, it doesn't matter if they're in a relationship or not.
They have finally gotten over the relationship between a rental girlfriend and a client.

From our point of view, watching YouTube is probably not something you would do on a date. But for Chizuru and Kazuya, it is a big deal. Because private relationships between a rental girlfriend and a client are not allowed, and until now they had never tried to meet unless there was some valid reason. But at this time, for the first time, they were able to spend time together because they wanted to spend time together. Not for any reason, not because he was paying her or because it was her job, but because they wanted to be together, they were together. It was their first private date, and a true "first date" in the true sense of the word.
Also, Chizuru was able to talk with Kazuya and sort out the current situation (Chapter 241). It is better not to tell Ruka about their current relationship. Up to Chapter 242, what Chizuru and Kazuya have to do now has been completed. Both Chizuru and Kazuya want and need to make time for their private relationship. However, they should proceed it slowly at their own pace, and at least now they are not in a situation where they have to force their way forward. So, there needs to be some kind of opportunity for the two of them to have a private date. Perhaps the Kinoshita family or Kibe-kun can provide that opportunity.
Also, what they are most afraid of now is that Ruka will find out about their current relationship. In a story, a worst-case scenario always comes to pass. It will be interesting to see when that will come.
So that's how I look back chapter 242. When we read manga, we read the lines to understand the story. We try to grasp characters' feelings and thoughts from the words spoken by them. That's the only way most readers know how to do it. But in reality, if there is someone who says the words, there is also someone who hears them. Dialogue is only possible when there is not only the one who says the words but also the one who hears them. You have to image how Chizuru receives Kazuya's words. I can't stop grinning when I see Chizuru willingly accepting such a stalker-like confession by Kazuya lol.
