入院は初めて
同じ乳がんを抱える8人部屋で、カーテンを閉めたベッドだけのスペースが自分のスペース
入院は家族が送ってくれて、検査の間も妹が一緒に座って待っててくれた
手術の前日に入院し、数時間の絶食と水分補給も制限があった
最後は喉が渇いたけど、唾を飲んで喉を潤した
脚の浮腫みを防ぐ変なキツイ靴下を履いて、手術を待った
それでもどうにか笑ってた
家族がいてくれて1人じゃなかったから
It was my first time being hospitalized
I joined a shared room of 8 of us who shared the same disease
My bed with thin curtains around it was my only personal space
My family drove and came with me to the hospital the day before the surgery
My sister sat with me on my bed as we waited for my tests of all sorts
Meals and drinks were limited so I wouldn’t have anything in my stomach when my organs stopped from anesthesia
I was thirsty because no liquid was allowed for the last few hours, and swallowed my saliva in attempts to quench my thirst
Wearing some strange uncomfortable white socks that are supposed to help my legs from swelling, I waited to be taken to the operation room to get rid of my breast cancer once and for all
