桜

雨も上がって清々しい空気に包まれた週末。
久しぶりに池上に向かう。東横線の中目黒の車窓から咲き誇るソメイヨシノが眺められた。
ランチは「かつや」の期間限定メニューをオーダー。結構なボリューム。夜は馴染みのお店でいつもの手羽先に舌鼓を打つ。
気持ちいい一日。

The rain had stopped, and the weekend was filled with crisp, fresh air.
I headed to Ikegami for the first time in a while. From the train window at Nakameguro Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, I could see the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms in full bloom.
For lunch, I ordered a limited-time menu item at “Katsuya.” It was quite a hearty portion. In the evening, I enjoyed my usual chicken wings at my favorite spot.
It was a wonderful day.

好景気？

空には雲、雲、雲。そして雨、雨、雨。
毛利庭園の桜の木1本、全開に花びらが広がった。
この天候の中、休まるひととき。
夜、映画公開記念の東京タワー特別点灯。美しい。間もなく池袋の悲しいニュース。株価は上がるが物価高騰。果たして好景気なのか日本。

The sky is filled with clouds, clouds, and more clouds. And rain, rain, and more rain.
A single cherry tree in the Mouri Garden has burst into full bloom.
A moment of respite amid this weather.
At night, Tokyo Tower was specially illuminated to commemorate a movie premiere. It was beautiful. Soon after, sad news came from Ikebukuro. Stock prices are rising, but prices are skyrocketing. Is Japan really in a boom?

喫茶店にて

昼過ぎから雨が降り出し梅雨のような天候。
最近は桜が開花すると雨降りになっているような。仕事後、喫茶店に籠もって時間を忘れて一仕事してたらもうこんな時間。軽く晩ご飯。皆さまおつかれ様でした。

It started raining after noon, and the weather feels just like the rainy season.
Lately, it seems like it always rains as soon as the cherry blossoms bloom. After work, I holed up in a coffee shop and lost track of time while getting some work done—before I knew it, it was already this late. Just a light dinner. Thanks for all your hard work today, everyone.

桜咲く

朝晩はひんやりするのだけど日中はすっかり春の陽気となる。あちらこちらで桜の開花を目にするようになった。精一杯咲き誇って人々の目に焼き付け幸せな気持ちを届けてほしいと願う。

Although it’s still a bit chilly in the mornings and evenings, the days have taken on a distinctly spring-like feel. I’ve started to see cherry blossoms blooming here and there. I hope they bloom as beautifully as possible, leaving a lasting impression on everyone and spreading a sense of happiness.

空に浮かぶ

雨降りの朝からどんよりした天気が続き、夕刻になって待望の晴れ間がやってきた。夜空に月が浮かぶほどに雲はどこかへ霧散した。月イチの家系たっぷりいただき満腹。休み明けの一日やっと終える。おつかれさま。

The gloomy weather that had persisted since the rainy morning finally cleared up in the evening. The clouds had completely dissipated, revealing the moon in the night sky. I had my fill of the monthly family-style meal and am now full. I’ve finally made it through the first day back after the break. Good job.

初体験

連休最終日。朝から出かけて久々の日曜日ルーティンから始まる。そして意を決して横浜へ。ちょっと調べたい事があったのであるが、横浜関内二郎に出会えたし、横浜スタジアムの開放デーにも偶然出会えた。野球のピッチ上から眺める球場は感慨ひとしお。馬車道の紅茶ショップの一杯いただいて横浜を後にする。

The last day of the long weekend. I headed out early in the morning, kicking off my Sunday routine for the first time in a while. Then, I made up my mind and headed to Yokohama. I had something I wanted to look into, but I also happened to stumble upon Yokohama Kannai Jiro and Yokohama Stadium’s Open House Day. Seeing the stadium from the baseball field itself was particularly moving. After enjoying a cup of tea at a shop on Bashamichi, I bid farewell to Yokohama.

休みの中日

昨日とうってかわって晴天ポカポカのお散歩日和。というわけで表参道から京橋に移動し、銀座〜新橋〜浜松町に至るウォーキングを敢行。久しぶりに良く歩いた。あちらこちら訪ねられたし充実した一日となった。3日間お休みがあると気持ちの余裕も違う(すぐまた3連休、5連休があるのだけれど)。街をゆったり歩くと見えてなかった色々なものに気づける事を再認識した。

In stark contrast to yesterday, it was a sunny, warm day perfect for a walk. So I headed from Omotesando to Kyobashi and set out on a walk that took me through Ginza, Shinbashi, and Hamamatsucho. It had been a while since I’d walked that much. I visited various places and had a very fulfilling day. Having three days off really gives you a different sense of ease (though there’s another three-day weekend and a five-day weekend coming up soon). Walking leisurely through the city reminded me that you notice all sorts of things you wouldn’t otherwise see.

お気に入りのお店へ

家でゴロゴロすると瞬く間に時間が過ぎてしまうので午前中のうちに表参道の喫茶店へ。雨が振り続いていたのだが寒さも感じずゆったりと。パソコン作業が一段階して外に出ると冬の季節に逆戻り。あれっ？昨日ソメイヨシノの開花宣言出てなかったっけ。どこにも立ち寄る事なく帰宅。明日は暖かくなるのでしょうか。Time flies when I’m lounging around at home, so I headed to a café in Omotesando before noon. It had been raining steadily, but I didn’t feel the cold and just relaxed.After finishing a task on my computer and stepping outside, it felt like winter had returned. Wait a minute—wasn’t the official announcement for the Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms made yesterday? I headed home without stopping anywhere. I wonder if it will warm up tomorrow.

夜空に月

モヤイさん、今週も見守りおつかれさま。
日中は落ち着きのない天候だったが、夜になったらサクラステージとスクランブルスクエアの上空に月が浮かぶまで回復。桜の開花宣言もされて
良い週末の3連休過ごせますように。

水曜定番

今日はアレコレ色々な場所に行ったはずが何も写真に納められていなかった。先ほどまで知人のお店の12周年のお祝いに行ってたはずなのに。トホホ。定番水曜カツカレーはおにぎりでいただいた。

I went to all sorts of places today, but I didn’t end up taking a single photo. I was just at a friend’s shop celebrating its 12th anniversary, after all. Oh well. I had my usual Wednesday cutlet curry with rice balls instead.
