A misty, rainy morning. The clouds hang low.
By early afternoon, the haze clears,
and the buildings emerge in sharp relief.
After work, I headed straight to Shibuya.
It was the ramen shop I’d been looking forward to for so long.
I savored every bite, and my stomach settled.
One floor up on the escalator,
a singer-songwriter was performing a live set,
so I stopped to watch for a while as a post-meal treat.
As night fell, the rain picked up again, and it felt like a downpour was coming.
Whether it’s earthquakes or typhoons, these are natural disasters beyond human control—
I just hope next week passes without incident.
