Headed out during the heaviest snowfall for lunch at the same place as last night. Had the fried rice I'd been craving, but it wasn't filling enough, so I ordered ramen to fill my stomach.
The heavy snow let up while I was relaxing with my cafe latte, and it stopped completely. I wonder if the weather will clear up from here on out.

A snow-dusted afternoon. A casual stroll through town. Warmed up with a Milan sandwich and café latte, I set out. Final destination: the Imperial Palace.
Despite the weather, many people were out and about. I wish I could be as resilient to the cold as the ducks on the moat.

Friday. I thought I'd be fine during the day, but as night fell, the fatigue hit me like a body blow.
The good weather has lasted, but it seems snow will fall tomorrow night. I can only hope it won't be a blizzard like two years ago.

Moyai🗿-san had something stuck in its eye, so I went to remove it—only to find it was an offering coin. Apparently, it's a pun on the rope knot "moyai" and brings matchmaking blessings. First time I've heard that. So Moyai-san was a deity after all.
The city hides all sorts of mysteries.
Mount Fuji is crystal clear again today. Must be the cold making the air so crisp.
Tonight, I visited a familiar shop that opened in December—I only learned about it yesterday. I loaded up on veggies and filled my belly properly.

This morning I got a late start and missed saying hello to Moyai-san.
I did get to see Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji.
Today is the first day of spring. Still, the wind stings my skin and feels cold,
and it seems the chill will linger for a while yet.
Today I had an experience that might be a first in my life. Not that it's anything major, though.
Lunch at Matsuya, dinner at Yoshinoya – I ate at both major gyudon chains in one day. I can't even remember the last time I went to Yoshinoya, it was so long ago. Seeing the shichimi spice, I remembered, "Oh right. Yoshinoya's shichimi isn't that spicy, so you can pile it on and it tastes great." It's already midway through the first week of February. I want to take each day slowly, without rushing. Even though time itself is flying by at breakneck speed.

Setsubun. I wondered if Tokyo Tower🗼 might have special lighting, but it was the standard style. This coloring suits Tokyo Tower best. The seasons are changing, but the cold persists. Just a little more patience.

A new week begins. February has also begun.
The cold during the day seems to have eased a little.
Let's get out and cheer ourselves up instead of staying cooped up inside.

Weekends—just a quick trip nearby—
flew by in the blink of an eye.
Tomorrow, the routine starts again.
Cold season—gotta get through it.

Friday. Moya-san🗿, thank you for watching over us again this week.
Perfect weather for outings. Yet the wind piercing the skin remains cold even under the sun's rays.
Night falls, and a beautiful moon floats high in the sky.
I head to Shibuya's Hyakken-ten and enjoy wonton noodles at a long-established ramen shop. Absolutely perfect.
Everyone, thank you for your hard work this week.

Finally made it to Thursday.
The sky, covered in clouds in the morning, cleared completely by noon, blessing us with bright, sunny weather.
Or so I thought—by evening, clouds rolled back in and the weather suddenly changed to flurries of snow. The cold intensified.
For dinner, I had a delicious drink at my go-to spot for the 29th of the month.
"Ebikin," the place where we used to meet in front of the station back in my youth, is still there. It's not golden anymore, though.
In front of Shibuya Station, the massive Scramble Square Building loomed against the backdrop shrouded in darkness.
