社内ゴルフコンペ / A golf competition with the colleague

毎年恒例の社内コンペ。

今年は富士山の近くでした。

あまり寒くなくて、途中からきていたセーターも脱ぐぐらい。

そんなに上手にはできないけど、とにかく楽しく。

そして私は毎年、ものすごくハンディキャップがつくラッキーな人で、それなりの順位でした。

ドラゴン取れるかと思ったけど、全然ダメだった。



We had a golf competition with my colleagues today and it is a yearly event.

It was held in a golf course near Mt. Fuji.

It was not too cold and I got off my sweater during the play.

I enjoyed it even though my achievement was not so good.

I am always a lucky person to get high handicap and my lank was better than my gross score.

I wished I would get driver’s contest but I couldn’t.


そして恋にはシャンパンを / Champagne Problems



クリスマス映画です。

シャンパンも女性エグゼクティブも大好きなので見ました。

アメリカの女性エグゼクティブが、大きな仕事をまとめるためにパリに派遣され、新たな出会いと、仕事での顛末とを体験します。

のんびりパリの美しいクリスマスを楽しめる映画です。

大人の恋愛も素敵でした。


It was a Christmas film.

I watched it because I love champagne as well as female executives.

An American female executive went on a business trip to Paris to close a big deal, met a man and experienced various things on the job there.

We can enjoy beautiful Christmas in Paris.

Loving was a little bit moving as well.

ゴルフ旅行 in 熱海 / A golf trip in Atami

大学の時からの仲良し4人で、今年もゴルフ旅行に行きました。

昨年は軽井沢、今年は熱海。

めちゃ満足しました。

土曜日の夕方に出て、あっという間に着き、夕食→温泉→寝る。

翌日は朝から温泉→朝食→ゴルフ(途中で昼食)→温泉→夕食→団欒→寝る。

最終日の今日は朝から温泉→朝食→チェックアウト→駅前商店街で買い物→帰宅。

とにかく食べて、温泉入って、ゴルフして、合間は全部しゃべって。旅館がとにかく最高。

楽しい旅行でした。

ゴルフは去年よりだいぶうまくなっており、それなりに難しいコースでしたが、まぁまぁのスコア。

まだまだ課題はあるけどね。

ドライバーはだいぶ当たったかな。

ゴルフは来週末もあるので、頑張りたいと思います。



I went on a trip for golf with my three best friends since we were at university.

Last year we went to Karuizawa and this year Atami.

I was very satisfied with the trip.

I left home on Saturday, soon got there, ate dinner, took the hot spring, and fell a sleep.

On Sunday, I took the hot spring, ate breakfast, played golf with lunch, took the hot spring, ate dinner, talked a lot, and fell a sleep.

Today, I took the hot spring, ate breakfast, checked out, shopped at the shopping district near the station, and went home.

We repeatedly ate delicious food, enjoyed the hot spring, played golf as a main activity, and always talked.

A Japanese hotel which we stayed was wonderful.

It was an amazing trip.

My golf had been improved more than last year and I got a stable score even the golf course was difficult.

I still have some issues.

My driver shots were almost hit correctly.

I am going to a golf course in a week and I try to play good golfing.


ザ・モーニングショー / The Morning Show



ザ・モーニングショーのシーズン4を見終わりました。

毎週新しいエピソードが配信されるのを楽しみにしてました。

今回は前回の2年後で、会社合併後、パリオリンピック前のお話。

この番組は強気で自分の意思を貫き通す、でも人間味あふれる女性が何人もでてきて、私の場合は実生活にも参考になります。

シーズン5も決まっているようで、また続きを見られるのを楽しみにしてます。



I have watched the season 4 of  “The Morning Show” on Netflix.

I looked forward to be delivering a new episode every Wednesday.

This season is a story of two years later of the previous season after merger between the two media companies before the Olympic in Paris.

This program have many women who are strong, intentional, and humanistic and it gives me many thinks to learn.

I look forward to the next season which has already been decided to be delivered.


沖縄旅行 / A trip to Okinawa

夫と三男と3人で土日に沖縄に行きました。

今年プライベートでは2回目の那覇なのですが、ホテル日航アリビラに泊まりました。

朝早くに出て、那覇に着いてからは前回同様、ソーキそばを食べ、ホテルに行くも、時間までお部屋に入れず、お茶してすごしました。

その後、近くの提携ホテルに行き、スライダーのあるプールを楽しみました。

この季節にプールに入れるのはほんと嬉しい。温水プールだからできること。ただスライダーのために上にのぼると寒い。でもスライダーは最高でした。

夜はホテルでアグーしゃぶしゃぶを楽しみました。

翌日は、ホテルのおいしい朝ごはんを食べ、帰ってきました。

短いけど楽しい旅でした。


I went on a trip to Okinawa with my husband and youngest son on the weekend.

I have been in Naha the second time on private this year and we stayed at Nikko Alivilla this time.

We left home early morning, flew to Naha, had a soki noodle as soon as getting there as we did last time, and had a tea until we was allowed to enter our room at hotel.

After checking in, we enjoyed a swimming pool with sliders at another hotel.

It was good for us to enjoy the pool in this season. It was because the pool was warmed. But climbing up for the slider made us cold. But the sliders were amazing.

We had Okinawa pork at hotel at night.

Next morning we enjoyed breakfast at hotel and came back home.

It was a very short trip but it was fun.

セリング・サンセット / Selling Sunset




シーズン9を見ました。

これまで以上に揉め事がたくさんあり、すでに一体感は全くなくなってます。

でも私も前より冷静に見ており、そんな自分が不思議でした。

きっと私自身も経験が増えたことで、このくらいのことでは驚いたり、イライラすることもなくなったのかもしれません。

英語はだいぶわかります。

やはり東海岸の英語のが速いと思います。

これからどうなるのでしょうね？



I watched the season 9 of “Selling Sunset” on Netflix.

The team members fighted each other more than before and they don’t look a one team at all.

It was strange that I watched their troubles much more calmly than before.

Having various experiences in my real life might have made me neither surprised nor irritated.

I understood English almost because English in the west coast of the US is slower than the east.

I am wondering what will happen in the next season.


結婚記念日 / Our wedding anniversary

結婚記念日でした。

必ずお休みの日になるように、11/3に入籍しました。祝日が変更されてなくてラッキーです。

27周年です。うち、約25年は息子たちと一緒。

いつも言ってますが、結婚生活のほとんどは息子たちとの生活でした。

その息子の1人、次男が婚約したので、今日は家族で一緒に２つのお祝いを。

三男だけはニュージーランドですが、来週には帰ってくるので楽しみ。

そしていよいよ人生の半分以上が結婚してる状態に。

ここまでくると、

病める時も 健やかなる時も

富める時も 貧しい時も

と、かつて誓いましたが、本当にそうだなぁと実感すること多数。

感謝してます。



Today is our 27th wedding anniversary.

We got married on Nov 3, the national holiday, to remember every year and we are lucky because this national holiday has never changed.

We have spent with my sons about 25 years out of 27 years’ marriage.

One of them, our second son engaged as I mentioned and we celebrated the two tings with our family except our youngest who is in New Zealand and will come back to Japan in a week.

Also I have married for more than half of my life. Then I reminded what we vowed when we married that 

“in sickness and in health

In wealth and in poverty”

of many real things we experienced.

I appreciate.





次男の婚約 / My second son’s engagement

10/25に次男が彼女と婚約したそうです。おめでとう！

指輪を買って、プロポーズしたそう。

以前、一度一緒にランチをしましたが、とてもいい彼女です。

次男の人生は彼のものだけど、私としても息子が婚約できたのはとてもうれしい。

まだ結婚はいつするか決めてないそうです。

今後、両家の挨拶とかありそうですが、それも未定です。

彼らのこれからが楽しみです。



My second son eangaged with his girlfriend on Oct 25. Congratulations!

He bought a ring and proposed her.

I met her having lunch before and I know she is a good lady.

I was happy as a mother that he engaged although his life is his not ours.

They have not decided when they would marry.

When both families would meet has not decided yet.

I am looking forward to their future.

仕事で必要になることもあり、久しぶりにまじめな？読書を。

こういうのを読まないとダメですよね、と反省もしました。

なかなか難しいのです。


正直、世界について疎い私には知らないことばかりでした。

西洋は自ら弱くなり敗北は明らかであること、その経緯と理由が説明されています。

アメリカ一国支配が一時的にされそうな世界だったものの、それはもう起こり得ないことなのだとよく理解できました。

読んだ内容を忘れるのを防いだり、理解を深めるために、今回はAIと対話しながら読みました。

いいですね、これは。1人で読んでるより意味を見出すことができました。

後からも見返せますし、私との対話をベースにサマリーまでしてくれてます。

ありがたいこと。

読みっぱなしにせず、これから何ができるのかを議論していかなくては。



I read “La Defaite de l’Occident” by Emmanuel Todo.

I have never read seriously since for a while.

I regretted that I need to read more serious books.

It is difficult for me to take the time.


To be honest, this book shows many things I had never known because I am not good at the relationship and history of the world.

It shows that the western is obviously getting weaker by itself and explains the history and reasons.

I understood that the world governed by only the US would never happen even though it seemed before.

I was reading it having dialogue with AI to avoid forgetting and deepen understanding.

That worked well. I regarded it as more meaningful than reading alone.

It makes me see our dialogue later and has already summarized it.

I appreciated.

I will have to discuss what we will do not only reading.


ザ・ディプロマット / The Diplomat



ザ・ディプロマットは大好きで、今回はシーズン3をわりと一気見しました。

ちょっと路線違うかなというところもあったけど、とにかく仕事に向き合う姿勢とか、共感ポイント多し。

そしてまたしても、え？という終わり方。

次のシーズンが楽しみです。



I love “The Diplomat” on Netflix and watched the season 3 quickly.

Although it is slightly different from the past seasons, I like the main character’s attitude toward her work.

And the end of the season is surprising again.

I look forward to the next season.
