US出張の直前は有識者会議でした。
アメリカ大統領選の直後だったこともあり、お題がIntegrityとDemocracy だったこともあり、国際情勢について学び、その上でのディスカッションでした。
私は女性だし、女性活躍をずっとリードし続けてきたこともあり、今回も女性が大統領になれなかったことは非常に残念でしたが、トランプに負けるのは2回目ですし、今回は特にトランプの戦い方のが明らかに上手だったこともあり、現実を受け入れて前に向かおうとしてました。
そんなところでこの会議。
男性の特に経営者は勝敗が出る前から、トランプを支持している方が多かったんですよね。
女性にはほとんどいないのは逆になんだろう、あの不適切な発言に、そして犯罪者なんだよねということが嫌すぎてありえなかったのです。
でも実際にトランプになり株価も上がったし、国際情勢を変えてくれる可能性もある(もっとひどくなるかもだけど)。
そういう面にも目を向けていかないといけないのです。
ハリスは理想論を掲げた上でそれが実現できそうななく、失望させてしまったということに気づいたのがもっともでかかった。
私も高い理想と現実の間で、本当の目指す位置を定めることの大切さを自分自身にも生かしていこうと思いました。
I had a two-day meeting as the expert meeting just before the business trip to the US.
The theme was Integrity and Democracy and it was held just after the US election, therefore we learned international situation and had a discussion based on that.
I had been very sorry that Trump was chosen which meant that no woman had been chosen as the US president ever because I am a woman and promoted women’s empowerment for a long time.
But the female candidate had lost to him a second time and his win strategy was better than Harris.
I had decided to receive the result when I joined the expert meeting.
I found that many male CEOs and SVPs have supported Trump since before the election.
I was wondering why few women haven't supported him and we didn't forgive his behavior and criminal.
But actually, he made stock prices go up and possibly would change the international situation for better or worse.
We need to look at such kinds of things.
What I found the most was that Haris raised the ideal purpose but she didn't look to realize and that is the top reason why she lost.
I decided to utilize for my work her lessons learned which show the importance of defining practical goals between the ideal world and the reality.
