I baby-sat my two-year-old nephew for the first time with my mother while my brother and sister-in-law ate out for their anniversary lunch today.

I got surprised to see how swiftly he was growing now. He got some of my questions such as "What is your favorite color?" "How old are you?" "What color is this?" "What's this?" and "Who bought you this?" He was also able to read numbers from 1 to ten.! I asked him, "Who taught that?" and he said, "My grandmother (Baachan)!"

What also surprised me is that he was very warm-hearted! It seemed like he was trying to share things with us and make all of us happy. Impressive! ( ̄□ ̄;)!!

Today my husband joined a golf event with his co-workers all day. I'm glad he had fun because he eclipsed his personal best score by 8. Good for you, Morimo!

I took the second-stage exam of 1st grade Eiken today.

I chose a topic related to gender issues for my speech and I think the interview exam went pretty well. I was so lucky to get to choose the right topic for me and it's highly likely that I passed the exam. ♪

After the test, I visited my parents' place and gave my sister-in-law a gift, which was a pretty bag for the winter season, for the wedding anniversary of my brother and her. I also bought some potato puffs for my parents and them.

Today I visited the pharmacy to see a Chinese medicine doctor, M-sensei, to ask for information about "shuuki-ryouhou" and see if it is applicable to my case.

Having surfed the net, I came to suspect that I have "corpus luteum insufficiency" (outai-kinou-huzen) and to wonder what treatment would work best for me.

Showing her my basal body temprature chart with abnormal flunctuation in temperature, I told her that I wanted to be treated with herbal medicines, not given an ovulation inducer.

The herbalist gave me advice and information. According to her, it is highly likely that I will be able to maintain normal body temperature in two or three months as long as I continue to take "unkeitou" that my doctor prescribed to me. Then I can adopt "shuuki ryouhou" to conceive a baby if I want. (Herbal medicines for the remedy are not covered by insurance, though.)

I'm glad that I got to meet M-sensei and actually I feel more rerieved now. ( ̄∇ ̄+)

I have been trying detection kit for ovulation for three days.

November 5 --- positive (slightly) 36.20C

November 6 --- negative 36.18C

November 7 --- negative 36.08C

It seems like I was ovulating on 4th or 5th...?

If so, my body temperature is supposed to rise tomorrow or the day after tomorrow!!

I still have a low temperature and my husband told me not to be obsessed about body temperature change. ( ̄Д ̄;;

We got together to celebrate the 37th wedding anniversary of my parents!!

Happy Anniversary! We are so grateful to you, mom and dad!

We held a grilled beef party on the roof of my parents' place. It was a sunny day and we had a great time!

My husband and I gave them a bouquet of flowers, a thank-you card, a sweater for dad, an apron for mom. Glad they like our gifts!!

I also appreciate my husband's great help in preparing, cooking, and clearing up after the party. (´∀`)

Last night, my husband and I had dinner with my two friends accompanied by their partners.

One couple, living in Colombia, is making trips in Japan now. They told us pretty interesting experieces and views on their life in Colombia, where they had lived for one year and three months. Also, I met the other friend's fiance for the first time and we found him nice. According to her, they are going to get married! Anyway, we had a very good time there. Morimo, thank you!

I enjoyed hanging out with friends pretty often rencently, which is very unusual for me. Last week I had lunch with a Taiwanese friend at an Italian restaurant and it was fun. She is studying in the doctral program at my university, majoring in gender studies. I made friends with her last winter and I like her because she is down to earth and very nice. (´∀`)

I also hung out with one of my best friends at a cafe. I was worried about her health condition because I knew she was under medical treatment for ovulatory dysfunction, but I was glad she looked so energetic. She was excited to stay in London to study at an English language school for one month from the end of this month. She also told me about the business that she is starting with a guy friend who I have found something fishy.... She said she fell in love with him. I told her that I personally couldn't believe him due to the sex-related business he runs now. Anyway, I wish her good luck with her trip to England.

I went to the medical clinic yesterday for the second time to discuss the results of a pap smear. According to him, no cancer was found, which was good.

I told him that I had wide fluctuations in temperature recently, showing a temperature chart. Then he priscribed herbal medicions for me. I like the treatment since they work to improve my health conditions with fewer side-effects while ovulation inducer is given just for one-time ovulation.

All right, so what I need is to relax as much as possible and take the medicion before every meal. I hope I ovulate again soon. I'm supposed to see the doctor in a month to keep him updated on how everything goes.

I read a Japanese novel "Taigan no Kanojyo" or "Woman on the Other Shore" by Mitsuyo Kakuta the other day. This novel won the Naoki Prize in 2005.

It portrays struggles and friendships of Japanese women and conveys the subtleties of human nature. I think I like this work since I sympathize with their way of thinking somewhat.

Now my husband is reading it. I was wondering if he liked it because it is written from women's perspectives, but he told me he found it interesting.

Some people say that autumn is the best season for reading and I'll enjoy reading more novels, next time something written in English.

I took the first grade of Eiken, an English Proficiency Test the day before yesterday.

I prepared for the test with a prep book. I found the exam not that difficult and hope I passed.

I will continue to study English to enhance my English skills.
