土曜日の朝、アーティストのYoukeeさんが、画を描いている現場を見に、訪れてみた(＾◇＾)
Nearby Museum of Jewish Heritage at Battery Park, Lower Manhattan,
you can see colorful, geometric drawing works on the path.
These are Yoshihiro Youkee Nishida's pieces.
He has continued to draw his creative activity every weekend, for ten years!!!
(Without winter season)
Successively drawing, then wearing off by rain or passangers' steps on them.
His wife, Seiko-san made lunches to Youkee-san and me , ate with them.
Yummy sandwiches
He really enjoy his creation, not preparing for draw, just feel and accompany his mind, just supontaneously appearing and drawing with his crayon.
Sometimes tourists who stay at Ritz, close to this park, come to see his pieces.
From high floors, they can enjoy overall drawings.
They talk to Youkee-san "Beautiful" "Marvellous""Awesome", amaging words.
The Rits!
After his routine, Youkee-san and Seiko-san invited me to early dinner at ChinaTown.
Youkee-san talked to me his story, life, activities, how to achieve his original way of creation, survive in New york, America with Seiko-san!
By the way, "Youkee" means 「勇気」,courege, bravery, guts.
He explained1to me with his easy-going smile(＾◇＾)

New Yorkで10年もの間、公園の遊歩道に独自の画を描いているアーティスト、Youkeeさんを訪ねた。
奥様のSeiko-sanは、先月、セントラルパークでの一人芝居公演をご覧になっていただいていて、今回は、彼女のご主人さまの創作現場を目撃に、DowntownにあるBattery Parkまで出向きました。
毎週末、この活動をされていて、この日も早朝からお昼まで、ただインスパイア受けるがまま、色とりどりのクレヨンを走らせていた。
10年、続けてこられたことで様々な気づきがあったとのこと。
以前は、歩行者が作品の上を歩いたり、自転車で平気で通っていくと
おおおおお～！！！
と思っていらっしゃったそうですが、今では、そういったことも作品の効果、として受け入れるようになっている。
もちろん、翌週末に訪れると、雨などで消えていたり、薄くなっているわけで、それをも受けとめ、そこから上描きしたり、新しく加えて行ったり。
予想できない画が毎回毎回現れてくる。
それを面白いと感じるようになり、楽しんでいらっしゃる。
だから続くんですね。
あらかじめヴィジョンを持って完成に向かう、というスタイルとは違う、醍醐味。
Youkeeさん、唯我独尊、ほかに変わることのできない、とても尊い存在でいらっしゃいます！
ちなみに、" Youkee"さんの発音は「ゆうきい」⇒「勇気」
長年、このアメリカで生き続けてこられた幸運なお２人と過ごせることは、僕にとっても、とてもラッキーなこと

Youkeeさんの作品は、Battery Park、Museum of Jewish Heritage、リッツカールトンホテルそばの遊歩道で自由に楽しんでご覧いただけます。特にリッツからは、うつろいゆく彼の作品の全様を上の階からは眺めることができて、とても色鮮やかに楽しめます。
