Ikki Namikaze is a heart-throb ace pitcher with the dream of appearing at Koshien, the national high school baseball tournament.
Then one day his mother is suddenly diagnosed with leukemia and Ikki quits the baseball team to take care of her and pay the hospital bills.
Ikki is hostile to his father who has spent his life trying to become a musician, at the expense of his family.
One day, the pop singer, Risa, transfers to Ikki’s high school and reminds him that she was his first love when he was a little boy.
Soon they become attracted to each other. Risa is trying hard to realize her dreams while Ikki has given up on his. With encouragement from his bed-ridden mother, Ikki decides to enter the world of show business by auditioning for a spot in the fashion spectacular “Tokyo Boys Collection.” At the audition, Ikki sings the song his father sung to his mother when he proposed to her. All the mixed feelings come together in his heart and he makes a dramatic first step towards his new dream.



🔷Director KAZUHIRO TERANISHI

Born in 1979. Graduate of the law department of Keio University, Teranishi made his acting debut at age three and became the youngest ever CEO of a talent agency at age 24. This polymath is also the producer for the popular singer, Chiyoko Shimakura, the editor of the magazine Men’s Book, and author of the best-selling novels “Arigatou Makiko-san”, “Cross Sense”, “Shinjuku Midnight Baby”, and “Joyuu”, as well as “Mariko”, the world’s first digitally distributed serial novel. Teranishi made his directorial debut with “Joyuu” in 2012, which allowed him to walk on the red carpet at both the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival and the 25th Tokyo International Film Festival. Alongside all his other work, Teranishi also co-produces the “Tokyo Boys Collection”, one of Japan’s biggest events for music and men’s fashion.Teranishi’s two latest works, “Tokyo –The City of Glass –“ and “Shinjuku Midnight Baby” were both selected as entries at the 38th and 39th Montreal World Film Festival Focus on World Cinema Programme.
