Here is the kind of sewing machines used for making and repairing sails. They are a bit bigger and stronger than standard industrial machines with lots of space underneath for ease of use with big surfaces. This image was taken in India during the Volvo Ocean Race stoppover last year. The race will be on again towards the end of next year.

I guess I found that the best way to make friends was to look at other people's blog so I could understand a little about them. So now I guess I have to put something also in my blog.

I like yachts and my work is designing yacht sails. I was working in Japan for some years designing and making yacht sails.
Now I am working back in Australia but most of my customers are from Europe or elswhere.

Yacht sails is interesting to me. I like to find the way to make yachts travel quickly and efficiently.

The image on the right is some sails I did for the America's Cup team Areva for the 2007 campaign. They were a French team.
