今回も期間内投稿の枚から一次候補を156点に絞り、その中から二次候補写真を50点セレクトしました。二次選定の50点の中からモデレーターさんからも選定投票、YouTube、Facebookでの事前投票をいただき、丸山稔智さんが5/19に投稿していただいた写真に決定しました。

丸山稔智さんからコメントもいただきました。「越後平野ではゴールデンウィークの前後、田んぼに水を入れます。早すぎると田んぼがまばらになり、遅すぎると苗が育ちすぎるので1週間程度しか撮影のチャンスがありません。 雨が降ったり風が吹いたりすると波が立って水鏡になりませんが今年は比較的天候には恵まれました。」とのこと。

The top page of the Sorakumo Group in June 2026 (the 142nd overall) has been decided to feature a photo by Toshinori Maruyama. This is a photo that Toshinori Maruyama posted on May 19. For this selection, we chose from photos posted between April 26 and May 25, 2026. The works marked with a ★ are posted on YouTube's "SORAKUMO Archive" as the "June 2026 Sorakumo Selection." Thank you for following the rules again this month and for submitting 3,445 photos. 

This time, we narrowed down the initial candidates from the submissions during the period to 156 points, and from there selected 50 secondary candidate photos. From these 50 secondary candidates, selections were made through moderator voting as well as preliminary voting on YouTube and Facebook, and the photo posted by Toshinori Maruyama on May 19 was chosen. 

We also received a comment from Toshinori Maruyama: "In the Echigo Plain, we put water into the rice fields before and after Golden Week. If it’s too early, the fields become patchy, and if it’s too late, the seedlings grow too much, so there is only about a one-week window for photography. If it rains or the wind blows, it causes ripples and the water doesn’t reflect like a mirror, but this year, we were relatively blessed with good weather."

Mikio Shiraiさんからコメントもいただきました。「3月に恩納村のホテルに泊まったので、近くに綺麗な夕焼けが見られるところということで万座ビーチに行きました。予想通りの綺麗な夕焼けに遭遇しましたね。」とのこと。

This time, the selection was made from photos posted between March 26 and April 25, 2026. Works marked with a ★ are also posted on YouTube 'SORAKUMO Archive' as 'May 2026 Sorakumo Selection.' Thank you for following the rules this month and for submitting 2,998 photos.  

As in previous rounds, the initial candidates were narrowed down to 150 photos from the submissions during the period, and from these, 50 secondary candidate photos were selected. From these 50 secondary selections, votes were also received from moderators, as well as in advance on YouTube and Facebook, and the photo posted by Mikio Shirai on April 3 was decided upon.  

We also received a comment from Mikio Shirai: 'In March, I stayed at a hotel in Onna Village, so I went to Manza Beach, which is a place nearby where you can see a beautiful sunset. As expected, I encountered a stunning sunset.'

今回はメンバーの根岸博幸さんが3/8に投稿していただいた写真です。

今回も期間内投稿の2467枚から一次候補を100点に絞り込めず135点に。その中から二次候補写真を50点にしました。二次選定の50点の中からモデレーターさん（※今回試験的に一般からも選考：ゼロ回答）からも選定投票をいただき、根岸博幸さんが3/8に投稿していただいた写真に決定しました。

根岸博幸さんからコメントもいただきました。「澄んだ空に太陽と雲と高架線を入れてみて撮影しました。」とのこと。

The top page of the Sorakumo Group in April 2026 (the 140th edition overall) has been decided to feature a photo by Hiroyuki Negishi. This is the photo that Hiroyuki Negishi posted on March 8. This time, we selected from photos posted between February 26 and March 25, 2026. Works marked with a ★ are published on the YouTube channel 'SORAKUMO Archive' as the 'April 2026 Sorakumo Selection.' Thank you for following the rules this month as well and for submitting 2,467 photos.  

From the 2,467 submissions during the period, we were unable to narrow down the first-round candidates to 100, so we had 135. From these, we selected 50 second-round candidate photos. Among the 50 second-round candidates, moderators (and tentatively, general voters for this trial: zero responses) also participated in selection voting, and it was decided to feature the photo that Hiroyuki Negishi posted on March 8.  

We also received a comment from Hiroyuki Negishi: 'I tried taking the photo including the sun, clouds, and the elevated line in the clear sky.'

今回はメンバーの谷川秀一さんが1/24に投稿していただいた写真です。

2026年3月のソラクモグループのトップページ（通算139枚目）は、谷川秀一さんの写真に決定いたしました。谷川秀一さんが2/9に投稿した写真です。今回は2026年1/26～2/25までの投稿写真の中からセレクトしています。★印のついた作品はYouTube「SORAKUMO Archive」に「2026/3月ソラクモセレクション」として掲載しています。今月もルールを守っていただき、3075枚のご投稿ありがとうございます。

谷川秀一さんの作品は2カ月連続です。すごい！今回も全体的に投稿された写真のクオリティが高く30点に絞りきれなかったので50点にしました。2月はあっという間に終わってしまい自分の予定も重なってしまいモデレーターさんにも大急ぎで選定していただきすみませんでした。

最終的に一次候補写真を100点に絞り込めず148点に。その中から二次候補写真を50点（前回35点）にしました。二次選定の50点の中からモデレーターさんからも選定投票をいただき、谷川秀一さんが2/9に投稿していただいた写真に決定しました。

谷川秀一さんからコメントもいただきました。「撮影時は寒波襲来でしたが、海岸は春色の景色だったので皆様にお伝えできればと思い撮影いたしました。」とのこと。

This time, we have selected from the photos posted between January 26 and February 25, 2026. Works marked with a ★ are featured on the YouTube channel 'SORAKUMO Archive' as the 'Sorakumo Selection for March 2026.' Once again, thank you for following the rules and submitting 3,075 photos this month.

Shuichi Tanikawa's work has been chosen for two consecutive months. Amazing! Overall, the quality of the submitted photos this time was so high that we couldn't narrow it down to 30, so we selected 50. February flew by, and with my own schedule overlapping, we apologize to the moderators for having to quickly finalize the selection.

Ultimately, we couldn't narrow down the first-round candidate photos to 100, so there were 148. From these, we selected 50 second-round candidate photos (compared to 35 last time). From these 50 second-round selections, votes from the moderators were also considered, and the photo posted by Shuichi Tanikawa on February 9 was chosen.

We also received a comment from Shuichi Tanikawa: 'It was during a cold wave when I took this photo, but the beach had spring-colored scenery, and I wanted to share that with everyone.'

今回はメンバーの谷川秀一さんが1/24に投稿していただいた写真です。

今回も特に写真の質のレベルが向上しているということを実感いたしました。構図や撮影する場所などメンバーさんのこだわりも感じますし、おそらく一枚一枚写真を撮られる際に「感嘆符」とともにシャッターを押しているのではと推測します。きっと写真の中に気持ちが練り込まれているから質も上がるのでしょうね。

ということで、今回も写真選定に難航してしまい時間がかかってしまいましたが（嬉しい悲鳴ってやつです）最終的に一次候補写真を100点に絞り込めず150点に。その中から二次候補写真を35点（前回30点）にしました。二次の35点からモデレーターさんからも選定投票をいただき、谷川秀一さんが1/24に投稿していただいた写真に決定しました。こんな風景を前にしたら息をするのも忘れてしまいそうです。

谷川秀一さんからコメントもいただきました。「この日は、長崎・佐世保も寒波襲来でとても寒かったのですが、こういう日は天使の梯子と呼ばれる光芒が綺麗なので九十九島の撮影に出かけました。雲のすき間から下りてくる光がとても綺麗だったのでポストいたしました。」とのこと。

I realized that the level of photo quality has improved this time as well. I can feel the members' attention to composition and where to shoot, and I guess that they probably press the shutter with an "exclamation point" when each photo is taken. I'm sure the quality will improve because the feelings are put into the photos.

So, it took a long time to select the photos again (it's a happy scream), but in the end, I couldn't narrow down the first candidate photos to 100 points and ended up with 150 points. From among them, I made 35 secondary candidate photos (30 points last time). From the 35 points of the second round, the moderator also voted for the selection, and it was decided that the photo was posted by Shuichi Tanigawa on 1/24. If you are in front of such a scenery, you will almost forget to breathe.

I also received a comment from Shuichi Tanigawa. "On this day, Nagasaki and Sasebo were also very cold due to the cold wave, but on a day like this, the light called the angel's ladder was beautiful, so I went out to photograph Kujukushima. That's what he said.
