*manipulating　(手で)巧みに扱う、 操縦する

*plot　ひそかに計画する，企む；陰謀を企てる

Toxic relationshipという言葉は、

日本でいう共依存な状態だったり、

お互い、または片方がいわゆる過度なメンヘラ状態になってしまうような

決して良くない関係を表すときに使われる言葉だという認識があります。

ですが、どう訳してもしっくりこず、、

同じ歌詞で様々な訳をしてみました。
