クリスマスっぽい曲とも思えますが、
YouTubeのコメントを見て感じたのは、
世界情勢がめちゃくちゃな今の世の中には、
こんな歌を必要としている人が多いのかもしれないなということです。
実際にJacobはインタビューで以下のように語っています。
「この曲は僕にとって大きな意味を持つもので、この曲を作っていた2年間は僕にたくさんの希望と温かさをもたらしてくれた。世界中に数え切れないほどの分断的な勢力が存在している今、この曲が、人々が団結し、互いを認め合い、支え合い、あらゆる人の人生を見届ける力を思い起こさせるものとして機能することを願っています。」
そう語るJacobの想いが少しでもうまく伝わるようにと思い和訳してみました。
