聞いたことがあるけど・・・
「透明メルセデス・ベンツ」は初めて。
新しい Ｂクラスの宣伝だ。
しかも、fuel-cell vehicle つまり
燃料電池で動く。
２千万円以上もかけて ベンツの片側にＬＥＤライトを
もう一方にカメラを付けて 映し出した映像をＬＥＤに
送ると ご覧の通り ベンツが消えた。
まるで ００７の映画のようでしょ？

メルセデスの大金をかけたＣＭの意図は？
燃料電池の価値だ。

Invisible Mercedes brings James Bond technology to life
In a promotion for its first production fuel-cell vehicle
in Germany, Mercedes-Benz turned a B-Class hatchback invisible
-- at least, from a distance, using the same idea behind
the invisible car in the James Bond film "Die Another Day."
See if you can see it before it sees you.
The invisibility cloak had its tryout this week on the streets
of Stuttgart, Germany.
Mercedes employed dozens of technicians and some $263,000
worth of flexible LED mats covering one side of the car.
Using a camera mounted on the opposite side of the vehicle,
the LEDs were programmed to reproduce the image from the camera
at the right scale, blending the vehicle into the background
from a few feet away.
Mercedes' point was to show how the F-Cell hydrogen fuel
cell powered car would be invisible to the environment.

The Myth... Marilyn had six toes
For some people, there just had to be something wrong
with the perfect Norma Jeane Baker.
So when a snap taken during a shoot with photographer
Joseph Jasgur on Zuma Beach in California emerged appearing
to show Marilyn with an extra toe on her left foot,
it was immediately seized upon.
Jasgur himself seized upon it to help the sales of his book,
saying he could prove it with his pictures.
Sadly, the widespread circulation of pictures of her with
the more standard five seem to prove the point.
The mystery sixth is believed by almost everyone as just
a lump of sand and a trick of the light.

Wilson has painted miniature works of art on
discarded chewing gum in various parts of London
and Europe over the past seven years in an effort
to "turn something some people would find disgusting
into something artistic and beautiful," he said.

Japan tsunami debris spreading across Pacific
HONOLULU (AP) — Lumber, boats and other debris ripped
from Japanese coastal towns by tsunamis last year
have spread across some 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometers)
of the northern Pacific, where they could wash ashore
on the U.S. west coast as early as a year from now.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
estimated the first bits of tsunami debris will make
landfall soon on small atolls northwest of the main
Hawaiian Islands.
Other pieces were expected to reach the coasts of Oregon,
Washington state, Alaska and Canada between March 2013
and March 2014.
