イエス様の言葉313 マルコの福音書2:18～20
バプテスマのヨハネの弟子やパリサイ人たちは、断食のおきてを守っていました。ある時、彼らが来て、「どうして先生のお弟子さんたちは断食しないのですか」と問いただしました。
イエスは、こうお答えになりました。「花婿の友人は、披露宴の席で、ごちそうに手をつけなかったり、嘆き悲しんだりはしません。 しかし、やがて花婿が彼らから引き離される日が来ます。その時には断食するのです。
On one occasion the followers of John the Baptist and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came to Jesus and asked him, “Why is it that the disciples of John the Baptist and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but yours do not?”
Jesus answered, “Do you expect the guests at a wedding party to go without food? Of course not! As long as the bridegroom is with them, they will not do that. But the day will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
ヨハネの弟子やパリサイ人たちは「おきてだから」断食をしていた。
そして、おきてを守らない人を非難した。
彼らは神に聞き従うのではなく、おきてに仕え従うようになっていた。
誰を主人にしているのか、何を拠り所にしているのか、日々の点検が必要。
人はすぐに真実からズレていく、大切なものはずっと変わらないのに。
仕えるべきは、私達のために死なれ復活されたイエス様。変わらずに愛してくださるイエス様。
