In a Fox News interview aired Monday, Trump reiterated his desire to “own” Gaza and made it clear that under his proposal, Palestinians will not be allowed to return to their land.
His plan to empty Gaza has been met with widespread rejection across the Middle East, including from Egypt and Jordan, the very countries he expects to take in displaced Palestinians.
Human rights groups have condemned the proposal as ethnic cleansing, exposing yet another chapter in the U.S.’s complicity in Israel’s ongoing colonization of Palestine.
