ＥＮＥＯＳＨＤが出資し、日本板硝子が共同開発を行っている米ユビキタスエナジーが開発した透明太陽光発電パネルを用いる。同パネルは紫外線と赤外線をエネルギー源に使い、一般的な窓と同じ程度の透明度を維持しながら、高い効率で発電できる。遮熱性や断熱性も優れる。
ＥＮＥＯＳＨＤと日本板硝子は２１年９月から約１年間、第１弾の実証実験を行い、日本国内の日照や気候条件でも想定通りの発電量や省エネルギー性能を得られると確認した。
