The last formally-owned slaves in Europe were the Roma of Moldavia & Wallachia (modern Romania & SW Ukraine), about 40,000 in total.
They were briefly emancipated during the 1848 Revolutions, but this was reversed by occupying Russian and Ottoman forces.
Final emancipation didn’t come until 1855/6, with financial compensation for - you guessed it - the owners, not the slaves.

モルダヴィアとワラキア（現在のルーマニアとウクライナ西部）のロマ人で、合計約4万人だった。
