Molly and I went to the park to catch some crayfish last weekend. We couldn't catch any crayfish this time, but look what we caught. This is a soft-shelled turtle called "Suppon" in Japan.

We named this soft-shelled turtle "Pon-chan". He or she is still a baby, less than two inches tall. My wife, Keiko doesn't like crayfish or other fish we have, but she seems to like "Pon-chan". She checks how "Pon-chan" is doing regularly. I hope "Pon-chan" lives long. The average life span of soft-shelled turtles is around thirty years. "Pon-chan" may live longer than I will.
