今日も一日お疲れ様でした🥰

今日はたまたま何も知らず小田急百貨店新宿店に入りました。
10月2日、今日をもって再開発のため解体されるらしいですね。
沢山の方が館内の写真や、エレベーターの写真を撮っていて…
ある人にとっては、初めて外食をした場所かもしれないし、初めて誕生日プレゼントを買ってもらった場所かもしれない、
今までありがとうという気持ちが館内に溢れかえっていて、多く方に愛されていたんだなと私まで寂しくなりました。
私も大阪の地元のデパートが潰れると聞いたとき、
そのデパートには私の初めてがたくさん詰まっていて、思い出の一部を失ってしまうような気がしたんです。
今日いた皆さんは、思い出の場所として心に刻もうとしたんじゃないかなと思いました。
最終日に来れて本当によかったです！

I happened by Odakyu department store Shinjuku branch today.
I didn’t know they were going to tear down their main building.
Many people were taking pictures of the building and the elevators.
For some people, this store may have been the first place to eat out or to pick up a birthday present.
I could feel full of gratitude inside the building and tell how much this store had been loved by the local people.
I can totally empathize with them.
When I heard my local department store back in Osaka would go out of business, I felt I was losing some part of my memories because there were so many of my firsts with the store.
I think many people I saw today probably tried to imprint the memorable place in their minds.
I am glad I could visit on the last day.
