--------------------------------
Thank you for your learning journal and the effort that you have put into it. It follows the formatting set out in the assignment rubric, including your data displays and headers for each of the sections of ORID. Some of the things that you have done well in this journal and should continue in the next are:
--------------------------------
•Your tables for the Core Brain Functions and ESCI-U are very clear. In the Core Brain functions and EQ Connections section you name the part of the brain, describe it and connect it to the EQ Competency. You have a data display for the ESCI-U and provide a summative paragraph describing the content.
•Interpretative Data, you identify patterns and themes, describe how they show up in your life, and identify values, particularly around achievement, teamwork, and empathy. You also make connections to the course literature.
•In Decisional Data you identify areas that you would like to work on in your professional life, for example adaptability, empathy, inspirational leadership, and conflict management. This is on your personal experience at work and seems to be confirmed by your assessment results and your experience in the coaching sessions in class.
Points to consider for your LJ2
•Per the assignment rubric, please be sure to provide a paragraph after your Data display that summarizes what the reader has viewed. Also, your Objective Data Section needs more content overall. You include some facts from your ESCI-U and you should also include how something about your peer coaching session. You also have a lot of objective data in your reflective data quadrant that should be in the objective data quadrant.
•Your Reflective data is a mixture of Reflective (How you’re feeling and reacting, internal), Objective (the facts, external), Interpretative (what it means, internal and external), and Decisional Data (what you’re planning to do). Be sure to keep these distinct from each other.
•You identify areas that you would like to work on in Decisional Data, for example empathy, inspirational leadership, and conflict management. Expand on this in LJ2 by discussing at least three options for moving toward your ideal self, and connecting with suggestions from the assessment guide and readings. You do some of this, but add the payoff for working towards these goals, and also talk about the consequences. Do this for a total of three options, and then connect each to specific, referenced support from the class literature.
Continue to do the things you did well and to make the necessary adjustments for LJ2. If you have any questions please let me know and I will be happy to clarify.
