hide Memorial Summit part 3

DJ OZMA has publicly said he fears being booed of the stage at the hide memorial, yet he seems to be a big enough hide fan that he still wants to play. That takes guts so I apologize for saying mean crap about DJ OZMA in previous posts. Tell you what, I'll even pay attention when he performs. Miki is all pissed at him for performing naked or something on NHK. Frankly that reminds me of Sex Pistols dropping the F Bomb all over the BBC so it doesn't really bug me. Its not like I am now a fan all the sudden. This is enough crappy commercialized American rap out there already, I don't need commercialized Japanese (c)rap too.

In other hide news Miki and I were talking about the live albums that are about to come out and both us us want to know why we can't get offical like footage or even a live album of the JaZoo tour. Frankly I want to see/hear Kiyoshi and D.I.E. singing some hide. Sure Kiyoshi was probably butchering half of it but I just think it would be cool.

(Update part 2. It turns out they did release a dvd of the Tribal JaZoo tour back in 2005 yet somehow neither of us knew about it.)

Fort Hood Strikes Again!

My work today consisted of showing up at 14:00 for a formation so I could get my PCS award. Sometime around 14:15 the formation got canceled for some reason or another. So now I have to come in at 13:00 tomorrow for the same thing.

Miki and I decided to head to the Dairy Queen in Cove after that. Half way there, I get a call from the transportation office saying that the movers would pick my stuff up on Friday and Monday of next week and the week after instead of Wednesday and Thursday like they where suppose to do.

Of course this random change requires us to change our plans around significantly, but hey, I'm in the Army so I don't deserve consistency. If you haven't caught on to the gist of this post yet, this junk ALWAYS happens in the Army. Day after day, things are getting changed on you with no reason or warning. God, I hope MHS is better than this.

Oh, and just to top things off, on my way back from DQ I got another call from the transportation office requesting me to come in and sign some paper work. If I had gotten home already and received that phone call I would not have been happy.

hide Memorial Summit part 2

OK, this time I am going to list who I would put on a festival like this.

Day 1: hide with Spread Beaver, Dir en grey, Rize, D'espairsray, hurdy gurdy, Phantasmagoria, Versailles, The Underneath, Heidi

Day 2: X Japan, Luna Sea, Oblivion Dust, Zi:Kill, Ladies Room, Gilles de Rais, Tokyo Yankees, Media Youth

OK, so most of those day 2 bands will never play together again, but it would be cool to see them get back together for a one day deal like this. But see what I did there? Day 1 would have hide's solo project, a couple former LEMONed band member projects, and newer bands inspired by hide. Day 2 would have X, old Extasy bands and Oblivion Dust. OD would be on day 2 so Kaz doesn't have to play 2 sets on Day 1. God, my Idea is 20 times more awesome than having DJ OZMA perform.
