DIE (he officially no longer spells his name with periods in it) announced on his blog that Ra:IN will be playing at the hide memorial on the 3rd. That makes 11 bands for the first day. Geez, don't you think that is a little extreme? I guess the show does kick off at 2pm but according to Miki its scheduled to end at 8pm. Thats about 18 minutes a piece per each band if you count set up time in between each set.

Maybe this is secretly a grindcore-tribute-to-hide festival. Think about it, Spread Beaver could play hide's complete discography in ten minutes if they do grindcore versions of his songs. Okay, that would actually be really stupid. What I really hope is that this whole "ends at 8" crap is negotiable so each band can play at least 30-45 minutes.

In other news Gargoyle is playing at Akasaka Blitz on the 3rd. My response to this is "&^%&^*$^*%$&am,mp;" because I would love to see Gargoyle. Of course hide-fest wins and I give a big middle finger to Gargoyle for playing on the same day.

As of today, I am no longer a stationed at Ft Hood. I am ecstatic but at the same time I am going to miss the platoon. However, I definitely will not miss the morning traffic. Seriously, it is worse than Los Angeles traffic. Turns out when 50,000 troops and an equal number of civilians try to use the same 6 lanes going through the same two checkpoints at the same time, the highway gets backed up for miles.

Next week, I will be packing and getting ready for movers. Then the week after that, I will be heading to Japan with Miki and in the middle of May I will be living in England. I guess that means I'll be pretty busy for a while.

I am listening to Moon flower at the moment and I like the songs on it, I just wish it had been recorded in a studio instead of a garage and mixed by a human instead of a monkey. Back in 2001-2003 I was a big Transtic Nerve fan. I still count the singles off of Recall as some of my favorite Japanese music. After that though, they just kind of fell off the face of the earth. They would still tour, sort of and release mini albums and albums but they were no longer on a major label and were releasing the cds themselves. The result of this is that they were hard as crap to get outside of Japan. So hard to get that I never bothered buying them and slowly forgot all about Transtic Nerve. What I have heard online of more recent Transic Nerve isn't as cool as Recall and Self Rush/Cell Flash anyway. Then they became The Underneath and their music hearkens back to the old TN that I loved. Unfortunately though, IT WAS RECORDED BY RETARDS!
