Today was first day of school. I had 3 classes today, but it was only 50 minutes long so I felt a bit short. Even though it was short, I enjoyed how the teachers entertain us. They were no teachers just talking about the classes but they were talking about themselves and their beliefs. I am taking 4 classes, and all of them are related to communication study. I think it was a good idea to take communication study class, because I have a lot of chances to give my opinion, and have a chance to know other people’s perspectives. And the best thing about the teachers is that they provide us a safe environment to speak out.
In the Cross cultural communication class, we talked about mindfulness. We used a candy for an example to show mindfulness. Even though the favor is different, they are basically the same. We can say the same thing for human being. We are basically the same my friend, even we have some difference in the color or language that we have.
I became a friend with a guy called Tyler, and Glasco. Tyler is a very entertaining person, and he is really nice to me. And Glasco is a cool guy as well. And the surprising thing is that in my Leadership communication class, there is a guy who used to play for the 49ers, a NFL team. He had injury in his knee so he came back to Baylor to become a coach of the football team.
Kind of a good start!
