「僕はモデルではないので、ポーズや感情表現など、カメラの前での振る舞いはすべてフィギュアスケートで培ってきたことです。
写真の場合、顔や体はレンズに向いている側を見られることになりますが、フィギュアスケートは360度全方位から見られるんですね。
さらにアイスショーだとスポットライトが常に一人だけに当たった状態になるので、どこから見られても美しくなければならない。
そして正直、見られていること自体にはもはや抵抗がないという気持ちもあります。
それはプロのモデルの方々が積み上げたものとはまた違った経験値だと思うので、このような撮影のときにも生かせているのかなとは思います」
"I'm not a model, so my moves, such as posing or expressing emotions are all what I have developed through Figure Skating.
In case of photographs, your face and body would be seen from the side facing the lens, but in Figure Skating, you're seen from all directions, 360 degrees.
What's more, in an ice show, the spotlight is always on just one person, so you have to look beautiful from any angle.
And to be honest, I no longer have problem with being watched.
I think that's a different level of experience from what professional models have accumulated, so I think I can use it in photo shoots like this."
