Today, they announced the design of
the rice field art officially.

西根田んぼアートを楽しむ会事務局は６月１日、今年のデザインを発表。後ろ姿の羽生さん、地元が存続を願う阿武隈急行線、巳年にちなんで蛇で構成されています。７月中旬から見頃を迎えます。詳しくは👇記事https://t.co/m0uUO1EVg1 pic.twitter.com/g6GtylA58i
羽生さんをテーマとした作品は、今年が６作目になります。
This year’s art will be the 6th work themed on Hanyu-san.
左手前に描かれた羽生さんは、氷上とは思えない驚異的なダンスを、アイスショーで披露して話題となった『Mass Destruction』の印象的なシーンです。
Hanyu-san in the front left is from the impressive scene of “Mass Destruction”, when he showcased amazing dance on the ice and attracted audience in an ice show.
その右側に描かれたのは阿武隈急行線。
赤字が膨らみBRT（バス高速輸送システム）化への転換などが議論されていますが、沿線住民の存続への切実な願いが込められています。
To his right is the Abukuma Express Line. With its increasing deficits, there is discussion of switching to a Bus Rapid Transit system, yet, they express the wishes of residents along the line for its survival.
右下には、脱皮によって再生や不老不死の象徴とされる白い蛇が「巳」の形で描かれています。
In the bottom right, a white snake which is the symbol of regeneration and immortality through shedding its skin, is shown in the shape of a “巳 (Chinese character, read as “mi” and means snake)”.
