冒頭のジャンプで羽生は、いつもの3回転トゥループでなく、イーグルから振り返りざま、そのまま高く跳びあがり、トリプルアクセルをあざやかに決めてみせた。
その美しさに息をのむ。
In the first jump, Hanyu didn’t execute his usual triple Toe Loop, but instead turned around from an Eagle, immediately jumped showcased a brilliant triple Axel.

ではまるで早送りかって思えちゃうような

超～高速スケーティングが

繰り広げられているかと思えば

まるで宇宙遊泳？

さらに、驚きは続く。
レイバックのイナバウアーからゆっくり身体を起こしスリーターンで後ろを向くと、またしても助走なしでふわっと舞い上がり、4回転トゥループを跳んだのだ。

本当に　変人！異常！

しかもこのお衣装だって

確かに Nova君やボレロ君のお衣装より

軽そうだけど・・・・

だ・け・どぉぉぉ　ひらひら　風抵抗あるでしょ？

なのにこの美しさ！

高難度のジャンプを跳ぶためには、助走のスピードを高さと回転運動に変換する必要がある。
だが、トリプルアクセルと4回転ジャンプは助走なしで跳べるものなのか？と錯覚してしまうほど、少しのよどみもためらいもなくシャープに宙を舞うジャンプ。
進化版「Danny Boy」がそこにあった。
To execute highly difficult jumps, a skater should convert the speed of the run-up into hight and rotational motion of a jump.
But can a triple Acel and a quad jump be executed without a run-up?
Even such a delusion was aroused, since he jumped so sharply in the air without the slightest stagnation nor hesitation.
