Picked up the part

they talked about the photos of Yuzu.

蜷川　「羽生結弦さんとの撮影で着てもらったピースも、すでに展示会で拝見していて。彼を久しぶりに撮るお話をいただいたとき、“絶対あの服が似合う！”と思ったんです。実際に着てみてもらってやはりとんでもなくお似合いだったし、“みんなが見たい羽生さんのさらにその先”という感じもした。彼自身、服の持つ世界観やストーリーをすごく吸収して表現してくれる方。その点でいうと、唯馬くんの服には語ることがすごくあって、本当にぴったりの組み合わせでした」
Ninagawa : I had already seen the pieces which Hanyu Yuzuru-san wore in the photo session at an exhibition.
When I received the offer of photographing him for the first time in a long time, I thought “those clothes definitely look good on him”.
Then when he actually tried them on, they truly suited him well, and I felt “Hanyu-san even beyond whom everyone want to see.”
He is a person who really absorbs and expressed the worldview and story of clothes very carefully.
In that respect, Yuima’s clothes have lots stories so that it was a really perfect combination.”

ファッションショーとかだと

やっぱり主役も作品も「服」だけど

結弦君が身に着けると

「羽生結弦」との融合で

「服」の「命」がより生き生きと

輝いている気がする！！

In fashion shows,

there're "clothes" and their world.

But when Yuzu wears them,

it seems "Clothes" also

encouraged by Yuzu and

looks much more energetic.

中里「実はあのあとアメリカでバレエの衣装制作の仕事があったんですが、ちょうどボストン美術館で葛飾北斎展をやっていたんです。
それでなんとなく足を運んだらこの写真が飾られていて、びっくりしました」
Nakazato : Actually, after that I had work in US to create costumes for ballet, and coincidentally, it was the period that the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston was holding the Hokusai Exhibition.
So I just happened to visit there and was surprised to see the photo on display.

蜷川　「そうそう！
キュレーターの方から『これは北斎の『神奈川沖浪裏』を感じさせるので、ぜひ展示したい』と連絡があって、写真を提供したんです。
私は現地へ行けなかったのですが、まさか唯馬くんが見てくれていたとは！」
Ninagawa : That's right!
The curator contacted me asking, 'the photo reminds me of Hokusai's 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa,' so I'd really like to exhibit it,' so that I provided the photo.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there in person, and I didn’t expect that Yuima had seen it！“
