羽生さんは「今まさにつらい思いをしていらっしゃる方々もいるので、少しでも力になるような元気を届けられたらなと思っています。
僕自身は、現地で滑ることに意味をすごく感じています。
その土地だからこそできる思いだったりとか、演技だったりとかもきっと存在すると思うので、本当にいろんな思いを込めながら滑りたいと思います」とコメントを寄せた。
