冬になるとシクラメンの鉢植えが並ぶけど
シクラメンの風変わりな別名、知ってる？
なんと！豚饅頭🐷
球根の形が豚まんに似ているらしい・・・（本当？）
Now, in Winter, many flower shops selling beautiful Cyclamen.
But somehow Japanese (old) name of the flower is
"sowbread".
Because its bulb looks like a mantour.
「シクラメン」の綴りは「Cyclamen 」となるけど
この名前の由来は・・・ほら、見えるでしょ？
くるくるゼンマイのように巻いている茎。
「シクラ」の部分はサイクル cycle からきているとか。
It says that because Cyclamen's stems coil up,
so it has the word of "cycle" in the name.
そういえばさぁ、仙台に農業園芸センターというところがあるんだけど
いつだったか、結弦君の聖地巡りの時に、立ち寄ったの。
実はね、センターに恐竜が出没するんだわ！
ちょうど今頃、センターの秋バラも見たくて行ったんだけど
シクラメンもとってもきれいで。
以来、もうサラのおつむの中は、シクラメンというと仙台！
ってなっているんだっちゃ。
あ、今日のシクラメンは例のクレマチスの丘のお花だけどね。
By the way, once Sarah visited Sendai Horticulture Centre to enjoy Aumun Roses there.
They have big variety of Roses, and also in their Cyclamens were so beautiful.
Since then, whenever Sarah looks at Cyclamen,
ahhhh, missing Sendai too much！！
