　北京オリンピックは８日、フィギュアスケート男子のショートプログラム（ＳＰ）が行われた。３連覇を目指す羽生結弦選手は、カミーユ・サンサーンス作曲「序奏とロンド・カプリチオーソ」に合わせて演技を披露した。本来はバイオリンとオーケストラのための作品を、羽生選手のためにピアノ曲に編曲し、演奏も担ったピアニストの清塚信也さんは、ツイッターに「フィギュアスケートとピアノの芸術作品が世界に届けられました。私の作品の中でも”最高傑作”というフォルダに入れておきます。心から感謝しております」と投稿した。
On 8th, Figure Skating Men’s SP was held in Beijing Olympics. Yuzuru Hanyu who aims for the third straight gold performed with “Introduction et Rondo capriccioso” composed by Camille Saint-Saens. Shinya Kiyozuka, the pianist arranged the music which is originally for violin and orchestra and played for Hanyu. He twitted “The masterpiece of Figure Skating and piano music was delivered to the world. I would keep it in the folder of “greatest masterpieces”. From my heart, I’m grateful to Hanyu.”

　羽生選手は冒頭で予定していた４回転サルコーが１回転となってしまい、ＳＰ８位にとどまったものの、「全体的にいい演技だったなと思う」と手応えも口にした。

Kiyozuka also posted a video of him playing “Haru yo, Koi” composed by a singer-songwriter Yumi Matsutoya in the morning. Fans commented “reach to Yuzuru Hanyu!” “it’d be the best cheer for Hanyu.”

　清塚さんやファンらの熱い思いを受け、羽生選手はクワッドアクセル（４回転半ジャンプ）を組み込んだ演技で巻き返せるか。１０日に行われる男子フリーの演技に注目が集まっている。
